Abstract

In crop production in the fields of agriculture, horticulture and the like, the damage caused by insect pests etc. is still immense, and insect pests resistant to existing insecticides have emerged. The present invention has been made in view of such circumstances, and an object of the present invention is to develop and provide a novel agricultural or horticultural insecticide. Another object of the present invention is to provide an agent capable of eliminating ectoparasites or endoparasites of animals. These objects are achieved by a condensed heterocyclic compound having a substituted cyclopropane-oxadiazole group represented by the general formula (1): (wherein R 1 preferably represents an alkyl group, R 2a and R 2b each preferably represent a hydrogen atom, R 3 preferably represents a haloalkyl group, and Q is preferably imidazo[4,5- b ]pyridine) or a salt thereof, an agricultural or horticultural insecticide or an animal ectoparasite or endoparasite control agent each comprising the compound or the salt thereof as an active ingredient, and a method for using the compound or the salt thereof, the insecticide, or the control agent.

Claims (9)

1 . A condensed heterocyclic compound having a substituted cyclopropane-oxadiazole group represented by formula (1):

wherein R 1 is (a3) a (C 1 -C 6 ) alkyl group; (a4) a halo (C 1 -C 6 ) alkyl group; or (a5) a phenyl group, R 2a and R 2b are each (a1) a hydrogen atom, Et is an ethyl group, and Q is any one of the groups represented by the following Q-1, Q-2 and Q-3:

wherein R 3 is (b1) a halo (C 1 -C 6 ) alkyl group, each black solid circle represents a binding position, and m represents 1 or 2, or

a salt thereof.

2 . The condensed heterocyclic compound having a substituted cyclopropane-oxadiazole group or the salt thereof according to claim 1 , wherein Q is Q-2.

3 . An agricultural or horticultural insecticide comprising the condensed heterocyclic compound having a substituted cyclopropane-oxadiazole group or the salt thereof according to claim 1 as an active ingredient, and optionally one or more additives.

4 . A method for using an agricultural or horticultural insecticide, comprising treating plants or soil with an effective amount of the condensed heterocyclic compound having a substituted cyclopropane-oxadiazole group or the salt thereof according to claim 1 .

5 . An animal ectoparasite or endoparasite control agent comprising the condensed heterocyclic compound having a substituted cyclopropane-oxadiazole group or the salt thereof according to claim 1 as an active ingredient, and optionally one or more additives.

6 . A method for using an animal ectoparasite or endoparasite control agent, comprising transdermally applying or orally administering an effective amount of the condensed heterocyclic compound having a substituted cyclopropane-oxadiazole group or the salt thereof according to claim 1 to an animal.
