Abstract

Disclosed herein is a touch display device and a display panel. The touch display device includes a display panel in which a plurality of X-touch electrode lines, which extend in a first direction and receive a touch driving signal through a plurality of X-touch lines, and a plurality of Y-touch electrode lines, which extend in a second direction and transmit a touch sensing signal through a plurality of Y-touch lines, are disposed, and a touch driving circuit configured to supply the touch driving signal to the plurality of X-touch electrode lines and receive the touch sensing signal from the Y-touch electrode line to sense a touch, wherein overlapping areas in which at least some of the plurality of X-touch lines overlap at least some of the plurality of Y-touch lines are different.

Claims (51)

1 . A display device comprising:

a display panel having:

a light-emitting element over the flexible substrate;

a touch buffer layer over the light-emitting element;

a touch electrode line (X-TEL) over the touch buffer layer;

a plurality of X-touch lines, which extend in a first direction;

a plurality of Y-touch lines, which extend in a second direction,

a plurality of X-touch connecting line, which connect a plurality of X-touch lines in the second direction,

wherein the plurality of X-touch connecting line include a first X-touch connecting line and a second X-touch connecting line adjacent to the first X-touch connecting line, and

wherein the plurality of X-touch lines includes a shifting area in which the second X-touch connecting line shift to the first X-touch connecting line.

2 . The display device of claim 1 , wherein the first X-touch connecting line is located only up to the shifting area and not extend to an upper area out of the shifting area.

3 . The display device of claim 1 , wherein the second X-touch connecting line is arranged on the same vertical line as the first X-touch connecting line.

4 . The display device of claim 1 , wherein the second X-touch connecting line is arranged on the same vertical line as the first X-touch connecting line.

5 . The display device of claim 1 , wherein at least some of the plurality of X-touch lines and at least some of the plurality of Y-touch lines cross over each other, forming a plurality of overlapping areas and wherein the plurality of overlapping areas differ from one another.

6 . The display device of claim 5 , wherein the plurality of overlapping areas are on the touch buffer layer.

7 . The display device of claim 5 , wherein the plurality of overlapping areas are in the non-display area of the display panel.

8 . The display device of claim 5 , wherein the plurality of overlapping areas are in a bezel area of the display panel.

9 . The display device of claim 1 , further comprising,

a touch driving circuit configured to supply the touch driving signal to the plurality of X-touch lines and to receive a touch sensing signal from the plurality of Y-touch lines to sense a touch,

wherein at least some of the plurality of X-touch lines overlap at least some of the plurality of Y-touch lines in a printed circuit board that includes the touch driving circuit.

10 . The display device of claim 9 , wherein at least some of the plurality of X-touch lines overlap at least some of the plurality of Y-touch lines in a printed circuit board for compensation located between the touch driving circuit and the display panel.

11 . The display device of claim 10 , wherein the plurality of X-touch lines and the plurality of Y-touch lines are in a plurality of groups according to positions of the plurality of X-touch lines and the plurality of Y-touch lines, and the overlapping areas between the plurality of X-touch lines and the plurality of Y-touch lines are determined for each group of the plurality of groups.

12 . The display device of claim 5 , wherein a first overlapping area among the plurality of overlapping areas located in a non-square area, is larger than the other overlapping areas located in a square area.

13 . The display device of claim 12 , wherein the first overlapping area is proportional to a difference between a capacitance value of the non-square area and a capacitance value of the square area.

14 . The display device of claim 5 , wherein the plurality of overlapping areas are determined by varying widths of at least some of the plurality of X-touch lines.

15 . The display device of claim 5 , wherein the plurality of overlapping areas are determined by varying widths of at least some of the plurality of Y-touch lines.

16 . The display device of claim 5 , wherein the plurality of overlapping areas are determined by varying widths of at least some of the plurality of X-touch lines and widths of at least some of the plurality of Y-touch lines.

17 . The display device of claim 5 , wherein widths of at least some of the plurality of X-touch lines or widths of at least some of the plurality of Y-touch lines are varied in the plurality of overlapping areas.

18 . The display device of claim 5 , wherein the plurality of overlapping areas in which the plurality of X-touch lines and the plurality of Y-touch lines cross over each other in the non-display area is different from a second plurality of overlapping areas in which the plurality of X-touch lines and the plurality of Y-touch lines cross over each other in the display area.

19 . The display device of claim 5 ,

wherein the display having a plurality of touch electrodes,

wherein the plurality overlapping areas located in a non-square area are adjusted by differentiating a width of the X-touch line or the Y-touch line according to a position.

20 . The display device of claim 5 ,
