Abstract

In various implementations, furniture, such as a table (e.g., a desk) and/or free-standing board, may include an organizational frame to which other members (e.g., table top, white board, smart board, etc.) may be coupled. The frame may include legs and at least one organizational member disposed between two or more of the legs. The organizational member may include a plurality of openings. The opening(s) in the organizational member may be able to couple with one or more organization tools.

Claims (50)

1 . A table comprising:

a frame comprising at least two sets of legs, wherein each set of legs comprises:

at least two legs; and

a top side extending between the at least two legs;

at least one organizational member disposed in an area between the at least two legs of at least one of the set of legs, wherein the at least one organizational member comprises:

one or more apertures, disposed at least partially through the organizational member, wherein the one or more apertures provide a handhold to facilitate movement of the table; and

a covering provided at least partially around a perimeter of the aperture;

a first seating area disposed between the first legs of two of the sets of legs; and

a second opposing seating area disposed between the second legs of two of the sets of legs;

a tabletop coupled to the top side of the frame, wherein the tabletop extends at least partially over the first seating area and the second seating area.

2 . The table of claim 1 , wherein each leg further comprises:

a straight section; and

a slanted section;

wherein the slanted sections of the at least two legs are angled towards each other such that the frame is narrower along the top side of the frame than along a bottom side of the frame.

3 . The table of claim 1 wherein one or more of the at least two legs include a caster.

4 . The table of claim 1 wherein one or more of the at least two legs include a C-shaped member disposed proximate a bottom side of the frame, wherein the C-shaped member comprises two feet.

5 . The table of claim 1 further comprising one of more shelves disposed between at least two of the set of legs.

6 . The table of claim 1 , wherein a first end of at least one organizational member is coupled to a first leg of the at least two legs, and wherein an opposing second end of the organizational member is coupled to a second leg of the at least two legs.

The table of claim 1 wherein a first end of the organizational member is coupled proximate the first ends of the first and second legs of the frame, and wherein a second opposing end of the organizational member is coupled to a first end of the tabletop, and wherein an opposing second end of the tabletop is coupled proximate the second ends of the first and the second legs of the frame.

8 . The table of claim 7 , wherein one or more of the organizational tools comprises a hook, a loop, a basket, a container, or a bracket.

9 . The table of claim 7 wherein one or more of the organizational members comprises at least one of an opening, a recess, or a protrusion; and wherein the organizational member further comprises one or more apertures.

10 . The table of claim 9 , further comprising a shelf coupled to the first bracket and the second bracket.

11 . The table of claim 9 , further comprising a drawer is coupled to the first bracket and the second bracket.

The table of claim 1 wherein a first end of the tabletop is coupled to the first leg of the frame, and wherein a second opposing end of the tabletop is coupled to a first end of the organizational member, and wherein an opposing second end of the organizational member is coupled to the second leg of the frame.

The table of claim 1 wherein a first end of the tabletop is coupled proximate the first ends of the first and second legs of the frame, and wherein a second opposing end of the tabletop is coupled to a first end of the organizational member, and wherein an opposing second end of the organizational member is coupled proximate the second ends of the first and the second legs of the frame.

14 . The table of claim 13 wherein the one or more apertures are disposed at least partially through at least one of the organizational members, wherein a user may grip the frame via one or more of the apertures to move the table.

15 . The table of claim 1 , wherein each organizational member comprises:

a surface; and

a plurality of organizational coupling members disposed through the surface, wherein organizational coupling members are adapted to couple with one or more organizational tools.

16 . The table of claim 1 , wherein the tabletop comprises at least one of a writing surface or a screen.

17 . The table of claim 1 further comprising:

at least one first bracket extending between first legs of at least two of the sets of legs; and

at least one second bracket extending between second legs of at least two of the sets of legs.

18 . A desk comprising:

a frame comprising at least two sets of legs, wherein each set of legs comprises:

at least two legs; and

a top side extending between the at least two legs;

at least one organizational member disposed in an area between the at least two legs of at least one of the set of legs, wherein the at least one organizational member comprises:

one or more apertures, disposed at least partially through the organizational member, wherein the one or more apertures provide a handhold to facilitate movement of the desk; and

a covering provided at least partially around a perimeter of the aperture;

a first seating area disposed between the first legs of two of the sets of legs; and

a second opposing seating area disposed between the second legs of two of the sets of legs;

a tabletop coupled to the top side of the frame, wherein the tabletop extends at least partially over the first seating area and the second seating area.

19 . The desk of claim 18 , wherein each leg further comprises:

a straight section; and

a slanted section;

wherein the slanted sections of the at least two legs are angled towards each other such that the frame is narrower along the top side of the frame than along a bottom side of the frame.

20 . The desk of claim 18 , wherein each organizational member comprises:

a surface; and

a plurality of organizational coupling members disposed through the surface, wherein organizational coupling members are adapted to couple with one or more organizational tools.
