Abstract

An antenna module includes an antenna box and a first connection wire. The antenna box can include a first antenna, a second antenna, a first connection terminal, a second connection terminal and a housing. The first and second antennas are located in the housing and the housing has a first opening collectively exposing a portion of the first connection terminal and a portion of the second connection terminal. Each of the first and second antennas is adapted to receive or transmit wireless signals according to one of a plurality of wireless communication standards and the first and second antennas are electrically connected to the first and second connection terminals, respectively. The wireless communication standards can be different from each other.

Claims (23)

1 . A connection system for use with an antenna box, the connection system comprising:

a first connector comprising a first connector common base, the first connector common base comprising a plurality of through holes, the plurality of through holes being arranged in a single row, wherein each of the plurality of through holes comprises a connection terminal disposed therein; and

a first connection wire module comprising a first connection wire common base, the first connection wire common base comprising a plurality of connection wires, the plurality of connection wires being arranged in a single row;

wherein the plurality of through holes arranged in the single row receive the plurality of connection wires arranged in the single row when the first connector common base is mated with the first connection wire common base.

2 . The connection system of claim 1 , wherein the first connection wire common base comprises a recess, the recess of the first connection wire common base accommodates a portion of the first connector common base when the first connector is mated with the first connection wire module.

3 . The connection system of claim 2 , wherein the first connector is disposed within an opening located on the antenna box, the opening being larger in dimension than the first connector common base.

4 . The connection system of claim 3 , wherein the opening located on the antenna box accommodates a portion of the first connection wire common base when the first connector is mated with the first connection wire module.

5 . The connection system of claim 4 , wherein the first connector common base comprises a plurality of magnets and the first connection wire common base comprises a plurality of magnets, the plurality of magnets of the first connector common base and the first connection wire common base enabling the first connector and the first connection wire module to be attached via magnetic coupling.

6 . The connection system of claim 4 , wherein the first connection wire common base further comprises a plurality of screws, the plurality of screws enabling the first connector and the first connection wire module to be attached via thread locking.

7 . The connection system of claim 4 , wherein the plurality of connection wires enable transmission and/or reception of signals to two or more antennas located within the antenna box.

8 . The connection system of claim 7 , wherein the two or more antennas located within the antenna box each operate according to a different wireless communication standard of a plurality of wireless communication standards.

9 . The connection system of claim 8 , wherein the plurality of wireless communication standards is selected from the group consisting of: a Wi-Fi wireless communication standard, a Bluetooth wireless communication standard, a GPS wireless communication standard, a 2G wireless communication standard, a 3G wireless communication standard, a 4G wireless communication standard, a 5G wireless communication standard and a WiMAX wireless communication standard.

10 . The connection system of claim 7 , wherein the connection terminal is attached to a printed circuit board located within the antenna box.

11 . The connection system of claim 10 , wherein the connection terminal interfaces with one of the plurality of connection wires via an interference fit.

12 . The connection system of claim 11 , wherein the two or more antennas located within the antenna box each operate according to a different wireless communication standard of a plurality of wireless communication standards.
