Abstract

Systems and methods that enable a user at a streaming device and/or one or more users at one or more client devices to realize one or more benefits associated with a status obtained in accordance with one or more events associated with a live streaming platform.

Claims (38)

1 . A live streaming platform server comprising:

a processor; and

a memory device that stores a plurality of instructions that, when executed by the processor, cause the processor to:

receive, from a streaming device, data associated with a play of a wagering game of a gaming session being displayed in association with the streaming device,

responsive to an identified user of a client device being associated with a first status determined prior to the gaming session, activate, in association with the client device and based on the first status, a restricted first feature of the play of the wagering game,

responsive to the identified user of the client device being associated with a different, second status determined prior to the gaming session, activate, in association with the client device and based on the second status, a restricted different, second feature of the play of the wagering game, and

communicate, to the client device and at least partially based on each of the data communicated from the streaming device and any activated features of the play of the wagering game, a live stream.

2 . The live streaming platform server of claim 1 , wherein the streaming device comprises any of an electronic gaming machine and a slot machine interface board.

3 . The live streaming platform server of claim 1 , wherein the client device comprises any of an electronic gaming machine and a personal gaming device.

4 . The live streaming platform server of claim 1 , wherein the memory device stores a plurality of further instructions that, when executed by the processor responsive to the identified user of the client device being associated with a third, different status determined prior to the gaming session, cause the processor to maintain a restriction of the first feature and the second feature in association with the client device.

5 . The live streaming platform server of claim 1 , wherein the first feature comprises enabling a placement of a wager in association with the play of the wagering game.

6 . The live streaming platform server of claim 1 , wherein the first feature comprises associating the play of the wagering game with a modified paytable.

7 . The live streaming platform server of claim 1 , wherein the activated first feature is associated with a period of time until the first feature is restricted.

8 . The live streaming platform server of claim 1 , wherein the memory device stores a plurality of further instructions that, when executed by the processor, cause the processor to communicate data that results in at least one of: a display device associated with the streaming device displaying at least one of the first status and the second status of the identified user of the client device, and another display device associated with another client device displaying at least one of the first status and the second status of the identified user of the client device.

9 . An electronic gaming machine comprising:

a display device;

an interface;

a processor; and

a memory device that stores a plurality of instructions that, when executed by the processor, cause the processor to:

responsive to a receipt, via the interface and from a live streaming platform, of data associated with a first status of an identified user and responsive to an occurrence of a game triggering event:

cause the display device to display a first play of a wagering game associated with a first feature, and

communicate, via the interface and to the live streaming platform, data associated with the first play of the wagering game associated with the first feature, wherein the live streaming platform communicates, at least partially based on the data communicated via the interface, a first live stream to a client device, and

responsive to a receipt, via the interface and from the live streaming platform, of data associated with a second, different status of the identified user and responsive to the occurrence of the game triggering event:

cause the display device to display a second play of the wagering game associated with a second, different feature, and

communicate, via the interface and to the live streaming platform, data associated with the second play of the wagering game associated with the second, different feature, wherein the live streaming platform communicates, at least partially based on the data communicated via the interface, a second live stream to the client device.

10 . The electronic gaming machine of claim 9 , wherein the interface comprises a communication interface of a slot machine interface board.

11 . A method operating a live streaming platform server, the method comprising:

receiving, from a streaming device, data associated with a play of a wagering game of a gaming session being displayed in association with the streaming device,

responsive to an identified user of a client device being associated with a first status determined prior to the gaming session, activating, by a processor, in association with the client device and based on the first status, a restricted first feature of the play of the wagering game,

responsive to the identified user of the client device being associated with a different, second status determined prior to the gaming session, activating, by the processor, in association with the client device and based on the second status, a restricted different, second feature of the play of the wagering game, and

communicating, to the client device and at least partially based on each of the data communicated from the streaming device and any activated features of the play of the wagering game, a live stream.

12 . The method of claim 11 , wherein the streaming device comprises any of an electronic gaming machine and a slot machine interface board.

13 . The method of claim 11 , wherein the client device comprises any of an electronic gaming machine and a personal gaming device.

14 . The method of claim 11 , further comprising, responsive to the identified user of the client device being associated with a third, different status determined prior to the gaming session, maintaining, by the processor, a restriction of the first feature and the second feature in association with the client device.

15 . The method of claim 11 , wherein the first feature comprises enabling, by the processor, a placement of a wager in association with the play of the wagering game.

16 . The method of claim 11 , wherein the first feature comprises associating, by the processor, the play of the wagering game with a modified paytable.

17 . The method of claim 11 , wherein the activated first feature is associated with a period of time until the first feature is restricted.

18 . The method of claim 11 , further comprising communicating data that results in at least one of: a display device associated with the streaming device displaying at least one the first status and the second status of the identified user of the client device, and another display device associated with another client device displaying at least one of the first status and the second status of the identified user of the client device.
