Abstract

To bring the excitement to the people (majority, who are not experts in games), we present the examples, described here, for one person to be able to bet on and be part of the deal and excitement for a third party, as his agent, proxy, or shadow, to bet for him, or instead of him, or as if the first person was doing the game directly, or one betting for another, or one playing for another with the other person's money. That generates more excitement on the game or casino, with more participation, transactions, income, profit, loyalty, and repeat customers. This brings a lot of variations on the game, e.g., stock market model, or derivatives model, or hedge model. This can be applied to sports and table games or fantasy sports. This can be applied to online, real, mobile, fantasy, simulation, computer generated, human based, or casino games or settings.

Claims (37)

1. A method of conducting a game, including a processor in communication with a remote user interface, a display, a memory unit, a player database and a performance database, wherein the player database stores identifying information for a plurality of players, and wherein the performance database stores history and statistical data for each player of the plurality of players having identifying information in the player database, said method comprising the steps of:

the processor receiving from the interface a selection of a player of a plurality of players having identifying information stored in the player database;

said processor receiving a history and statistical data for performance of said selected player from the performance database;

said processor displaying said history and statistical data for performance of said player on the display;

said processor receiving from the interface a selection of said player for a game, wherein the outcome of the game is unknown at the time of the selection;

receiving from the interface a communication of a bet relating to the outcome of the game, wherein the bet is displayed on the display;

receiving from the interface an amount of contribution money for the communicated bet, the contribution money being deducted from a credit amount established in a user account stored in the memory unit;

the processor receiving an outcome for the communicated bet;

the processer determining an outcome for the contribution money based on the outcome of the communicated bet;

the processor updating the history and statistical data in the performance database for the selected player based on the outcome of the communicated bet; and

the processor communicating the outcome of the communicated bet to the interface.

2. The method as recited in claim 1 , wherein said game is a fantasy sports game.

3. The method as recited in claim 1 , wherein said game is a slot game played on an electronic gaming machine.

4. The method as recited in claim 1 , wherein said game is a sporting event.

5. The method as recited in claim 1 , wherein the betting is stopped or is disabled when said first player's location is outside perimeter of a geographical boundary.

6. A method including a processor in communication with a user interface, a memory unit, and a database, wherein the database stores expert player identification information and prior game outcome performance data for a plurality of expert players made available for selection by one or more users through the user interface, the processor being configured to execute the method comprising the steps of:

the processor displaying game information associated with an expert player on the user interface, wherein the game information identifies the expert player and at least one game set to occur subsequent to being displayed on the user interface, each game having an unknown outcome;

responsive to detecting receipt of a request through the user interface, the processor displaying on the user interface the prior game outcome performance data for the expert player;

receiving through the user interface a wager, the wager being associated with a monetary amount and a selection of the game set to occur displayed on the user interface;

the processor storing a record of the wager in the memory unit;

the processor subsequently receiving game outcome data for the selected game;

the processor determining an outcome for the wager;

the processor modifying the prior game outcome performance data for the expert player based on the game outcome data for the selected game; and

the processor crediting to the user account stored in the memory unit a payout award based on the determined outcome for the wager.

7. The method as recited in claim 6 , wherein the game is a fantasy sports game.

8. The method as recited in claim 6 , wherein the game is an electronic game.

9. The method as recited in claim 6 , wherein the game is a sporting event.

10. The method as recited in claim 6 , wherein the game is an esports event.

11. A system comprising a processor in communication with a user interface, a memory unit, and a database, wherein the database stores expert player identification information and prior game outcome performance data for a plurality of expert players made available for selection by one or more users through the user interface, all being configured to:

display game information associated with an expert player on the user interface, wherein the game information identifies the expert player and at least one game set to occur subsequent to being displayed on the user interface, each game having an unknown outcome;

responsive to detecting receipt of a request through the user interface, the processor displaying on the user interface the prior game outcome performance data for the expert player;

receive through the user interface a wager, the wager being associated with a monetary amount and a selection of the game set to occur displayed on the user interface;

store a record of the wager in the memory unit;

receive game outcome data for the selected game;

determine an outcome for the wager;

modify the prior game outcome performance data for the expert player based on the game outcome data for the selected game; and

apply a credit to the user account stored in the memory unit a payout award based on the determined outcome for the wager.
