Abstract

Claims (32)

1 . An adjustable merchandise hook assembly configured to be coupled to a substantially horizontal grate having first and second bars disposed parallel to one another, the adjustable merchandise hook assembly comprising:

a first plate including:

a hook for engaging the first bar of the grate, the hook having an open end and a bend end substantially opposite the open end and wherein the bend end extends beyond a plane defined by the first plate,

an elongated slot extending parallel to a longitudinal axis of the first plate, and

a tube at an underside of the first plate and having a central longitudinal axis parallel to the longitudinal axis of the first plate;

a second plate including:

a hook for engaging the second bar of the grate, the hook having an open end and a bend end substantially opposite the open end and wherein the bend end extends beyond a plane defined by the second plate, and

an elongated slot extending parallel to a longitudinal axis of the second plate;

a merchandise suspension hook coupled to the first plate, wherein the merchandise suspension hook includes a first portion, a second portion downwardly extending from the first portion, and a third portion projecting forwardly from the second portion, and wherein the first portion is disposed through the tube and slidable within the tube along its longitudinal extend and rotatable within the tube; and

a releasable fastener to releasably couple the first plate and the second plate,

wherein the hook of the first plate has a point end about a first side of the plane defined by the first plate and the bend end about a second side opposite the first side of the plane defined by the first plate.

2 . The adjustable merchandise hook assembly of claim 1 , wherein the elongated slot of the second plate is configured to align with the elongated slot of the first plate.

3 . The adjustable merchandise hook assembly of claim 1 , wherein the elongated slot of the second plate is configured to overlie the elongated slot of the first plate.

4 . The adjustable merchandise hook assembly of claim 1 , wherein the merchandise suspension hook is suspended from an underside of the first plate.

5 . The adjustable merchandise hook assembly of claim 1 , wherein the first portion of the merchandise suspension hook has a threaded end.

6 . The adjustable merchandise hook assembly of claim 1 , wherein the first distance is approximately 1.25-7.50 inches.

7 . The adjustable merchandise hook assembly of claim 1 , wherein the first distance is approximately 2.25-6.50 inches.

8 . The adjustable merchandise hook assembly of claim 1 , wherein at least one of the first or second plates includes a lip extending downwardly along a sidewall thereof.

9 . The adjustable merchandise hook assembly of claim 1 , wherein the hook of the first plate extends an angle of about 40-80 degrees relative to the plane defined by the first plate.

10 . An adjustable merchandise hook assembly comprising:

a first plate including:

a hook for engaging a first bar of a grate, the hook having an open end and a bend end substantially opposite the open end and wherein the bend end extends beyond a plane defined by the first plate, and wherein the hook of the first plate has a point end about a first side of the plane defined by the first plate and the bend end about a second side opposite the first side of the plane defined by the first plate,

an elongated slot extending parallel to a longitudinal axis of the first plate, and

a tube at an underside of the first plate and having a central longitudinal axis parallel to the longitudinal axis of the first plate;

a second plate including:

a hook for engaging a second bar of the grate, the hook having an open end and a bend end substantially opposite the open end and wherein the bend end extends beyond a plane defined by the second plate, and wherein the hook of the second plate extends an angle of about 40-80 degrees relative to a plane defined by the second plate, and

an elongated slot extending parallel to a longitudinal axis of the second plate;

a merchandise suspension hook coupled to the first plate, the merchandise suspension hook including:

a first portion disposed through the tube and slidable within the tube along its longitudinal extend,

a second portion downwardly extending from the first portion, and

a third portion projecting forwardly from the second portion; and

a fastener to releasably couple the first plate and the second plate.
