Device for lifting and transporting a person
A device for transporting a person, having two blades extending along a longitudinal axis between two ends and each having two edges, and two longitudinal ends, the blades configured to be assembled to each other in a reversible manner in an assembly position by a coupling between two edges, parallel to the axis, to form a concave support surface on which a person can be transported, the support surface having two longitudinal ends, formed by the association of the longitudinal ends of each blade, and two lateral edges, the device further has means for locking the assembly position, each of the locking means being able to be reversibly secured to the ends of the two blades, and able to form a locking of the blades in the assembly position, each of the locking means further forming a gripping portion when the locking means are secured and/or locked on the surface.
1 . A device for transporting a person, comprising two blades extending along a longitudinal axis between two ends and each comprising two edges, and two longitudinal ends,
the blades configured to be assembled to each other in a reversible manner in an assembly position by at least one coupling between two juxtaposed edges, parallel to the longitudinal axis, in order to form a support surface on which a person can be transported, the support surface having two longitudinal ends formed by the juxtaposition of the longitudinal ends of each blade, and two lateral edges,
the device further comprising removable means, called locking means, for locking said assembly position, each of said locking means comprising two ends, each of said locking means reversibly secured at said two ends of said locking means to the longitudinal ends of the two blades at the two lateral edges of said support surface, and able to form a locking of the blades in the assembly position, each of said locking means having a gripping portion separated from said support surface by a space, when said locking means are secured and/or locked on said support surface, so that said gripping portion of the locking means and said space together form gripping means protruding and extending beyond the support surface in the same plane as the support surface, allowing carrying of said device for transporting a person,
said two blades comprising at said longitudinal ends at said two juxtaposed edges at least one additional fastening means for fastening the locking means to said two blades, said additional fastening means being-formed by the assembling of the two blades in the assembly position, the locking means having between said two ends of said locking means a central portion which is configured to be forcibly introduced into said additional fastening means in addition to the securing of the two ends of said locking means to the longitudinal ends of the two blades at the two lateral edges of said support surface, said gripping portion located between said central portion and the two ends of said locking means, said introduction of the locking means into the additional fastening means stiffening both the assembly of the two blades forming the support surface and the gripping means protruding and extending beyond said support surface.
2 . The device according to claim 1 , said gripping portion has a length less than 50% of the length of the support surface.
3 . The device according to claim 1 , wherein each locking means is configured to be secured to the longitudinal ends of the two blades by means for coupling the locking means to the longitudinal ends of the two blades comprising at least one pivot.
4 . The device according to claim 1 , wherein said support surface comprises an orifice which extends along the longitudinal axis on at least a part of said support surface.

The device according to claim 1 , wherein each blade comprises at each of said two longitudinal ends a protruding member, and each of the two ends of the locking means complementary to one of said protruding members, and secured in a reversible manner and forming said locking means with one of said protruding members.
6 . The device according to claim 5 , wherein the protruding members and the locking means are configured to be secured to and locked with each other outside the support surface for providing said gripping means.

The device according to claim 1 , wherein the coupling between two edges of each blade is formed by a pair of couplers, each blade comprising at least one coupler, each coupler of one blade complementary to a coupler of the other blade, the complementary couplers being a pair formed of a protruding coupling member present on a blade, complementary to a facing orifice on the other blade, the protruding coupling member housed in the orifice when the blades are in the assembly position.

The device according to claim 5 , wherein each of the ends of the locking means comprises an arm comprising a locking catch complementary to one of said protruding members, the catch movable between a closed position, called rest position in which the locking means is locked on the end of the blade and an open position in which the locking means is removable, the locking means further comprising an element for returning the catch to the closed position.
9 . The device according to claim 1 , wherein each blade further comprises lateral gripping means on at least part of an edge of the blade forming a lateral edge of the support surface.
10 . The device according to claim 9 , wherein said lateral gripping means of the lateral edges of the support surface have specific orifices able to accommodate means for immobilizing part of the person and/or an immobilizer of part of the body of a person.
11 . The device according to claim 1 , wherein the blades share a point of symmetry when the blades are assembled, the point of symmetry at the center of the longitudinal centerline, coincident with the longitudinal axis, of the assembly formed by the two blades.
12 . The device according to claim 1 , further comprising means for stiffening the blades which extend longitudinally inside each of said blades of the device.
13 . The device according to claim 1 , wherein said additional fastening means are an alcove or a depression.
14 . The device according to claim 1 , further comprising an additional support surface.
15 . The device according to claim 14 , wherein the additional support surface is removably fastened on the locking means of said assembly position of the blades.
16 . A method for assembling a person transportation device according to claim 1 , comprising the following method steps:
Placing successively each of the two blades on either side of the person lying on the ground,
Assembling the two blades under the person in the assembly position at the coupling of the two blades, in order to form a support surface under said person and to form additional fastening means at the juxtaposed edges of the two blades at respective longitudinal ends,
Securing then locking the ends of each locking means to the two longitudinal ends of the two blades at the two lateral edges of said support surface, said locking means leaving said space for providing said gripping means protruding and extending beyond the support surface in the same plane as the support surface,
Forcibly introducing a central portion of the locking means into said additional fastening means at the longitudinal ends of the two blades at said juxtaposed edges, said introduction of the locking means into the additional fastening means stiffening both the assembly of the two blades forming the support surface and the gripping means protruding and extending beyond said support surface,
Inserting a hand in said space to grip the locking means each forming said gripping means, with a protruding portion, and raising the device transporting the person.

The assembly method according to claim 16 , wherein, each of said locking means is configured to be secured to the longitudinal ends of the two blades by means for coupling the locking means to the ends of the two blades which comprise at least two coupling points including at least one pivot, so that each gripping means is coupled by a pivotal movement from a first coupling point to a second coupling point.
18 . The device according to claim 1 , said gripping portion has a length less than 25% of the length of the support surface.
