Abstract

In a sewing machine, an arm includes, on one side thereof in a first direction, a head. A needle bar is disposed at the head to reciprocally move in a second direction. A feed mechanism feeds a workpiece from one side toward the other side of the head in a third direction. The projection unit disposed at the head projects a projection image toward a bed. The projection unit includes an emitter for projecting image light of the projection image. The photographing unit disposed at the head captures a photographing target. The photographing unit includes an incident portion on which light reflected by the photographing target is incident. The emitter and the incident portion are disposed further toward the one side of the arm in the first direction than the needle bar, and further toward the one side of the head in the third direction than the needle bar.

Claims (37)

1 . A sewing machine comprising:

a presser bar extending in a first direction;

a needle bar extending in the first direction;

a bed extending in a second direction crossing the first direction;

a camera including a first end and a second end, the first end being an end of the camera in one side of a third direction, the second end being an end of the camera in an other side of the third direction, the third direction crossing the first direction and the second direction; and

a projector including a third end, the third end being an end of the projector in the one side of the third direction,

wherein the needle bar is positioned between the third end and the presser bar in the third direction,

wherein the third end is positioned closer to the first end than to the second end in the third direction.

2 . The sewing machine according to claim 1 , wherein

the needle bar is positioned between the second end and the presser bar in the third direction.

3 . The sewing machine according to claim 1 , wherein

a first distance is smaller than a second distance, the first distance being a distance between the third end and the first end in the third direction, the second distance being a distance between the third end and the second end in the third direction.

4 . The sewing machine according to claim 1 , wherein

the first direction is an up-down direction,

the second direction is a left-right direction, and

the third direction is a front-rear direction.

5 . The sewing machine according to claim 1 , wherein the second direction is perpendicular to the first direction.

6 . The sewing machine according to claim 5 , wherein the third direction is perpendicular to the first direction and the second direction.

7 . A sewing machine comprising:

a presser bar;

a needle bar positioned adjacent to the presser bar in a first direction;

a camera including a first end and a second end, the first end being an end of the camera in one side of the first direction, the second end being an end of the camera in an other side of the first direction; and

a projector including a third end, the third end being an end of the projector in the one side of the first direction,

wherein the needle bar is positioned between the third end and the presser bar in the first direction,

wherein the third end is positioned closer to the first end than to the second end in the first direction.

8 . The sewing machine according to claim 7 , wherein the first direction is a front-rear direction.

9 . The sewing machine according to claim 8 , wherein the one side of the first direction is a front side of the front-rear direction.

10 . The sewing machine according to claim 9 , wherein the other side of the first direction is a rear side of the front-rear direction.

11 . A sewing machine comprising:

a presser bar;

a needle bar spaced from the presser bar in a first direction;

a camera; and

a projector spaced from the camera in the first direction,

wherein the needle bar is disposed closer to a front side in the first direction than the presser bar, and

wherein a lens of the projector is disposed closer to the front side in the first direction than a lens of the camera.

12 . The sewing machine according to claim 11 , wherein the first direction is a front direction.

13 . The sewing machine according to claim 11 , wherein a lens of the projector is disposed above a lens of the camera in an up-down direction.
