Abstract

A system comprising one or more processors and one or more non-transitory computer-readable media storing computing instructions that, when executed on the one or more processors, cause the one or more processors to perform operations: comparing, by an electronic device, at least one parameter of a set of telematics data associated with a vehicle and at least one additional parameter of an additional set of telematics data associated with one or more other vehicles within a threshold distance of the vehicle to determine a difference between the at least one parameter and the at least one additional parameter; and displaying, by the electronic device, the difference to the operator of the vehicle to notify the operator of the vehicle about the difference. Other embodiments are described.

Claims (38)

1 . A computer-implemented method for assessing vehicle operation, the method comprising:

retrieving, by an electronic device, location data for a vehicle and one or more other vehicles, wherein the location data is associated with real-time data for a location associated with the location data;

comparing, by the electronic device, parameters comprising at least one parameter of a set of telematics data associated with the vehicle and at least one additional parameter of an additional set of telematics data associated with the one or more other vehicles (a) within a threshold distance of the vehicle, and (b) of a same body type as the vehicle, to determine a degree of deviation between the parameters, wherein the comparing uses the location data associated with the real-time data; and

transmitting for displaying, on the electronic device via a visual dashboard on an interactive user interface:

the degree of deviation between the parameters to an operator of the vehicle to provide feedback to the operator of the vehicle indicating whether the vehicle operation of the vehicle deviates from operations of the one or more other vehicles based on the degree of deviation; and

a warning comprising a suggestion for the operator of the vehicle to modify a driving operation of the vehicle based at least on the degree of deviation.

2 . The computer-implemented method of claim 1 , wherein the electronic device comprises a mobile device or a computer server.

3 . The computer-implemented method of claim 1 , wherein the degree of deviation comprises at least one of an absolute difference between the parameters or a percentage difference between the parameters.

4 . The computer-implemented method of claim 1 , wherein the real-time data further comprises public safety data or weather information.

5 . The computer-implemented method of claim 1 , wherein the at least one additional parameter of the additional set of telematics data is further associated with the one or more other vehicles in a same driving mode as the vehicle, wherein the same driving mode comprises one or more of a manual driving mode or an autonomous driving mode.

6 . The computer-implemented method of claim 1 further comprising:

accumulating, using a combination of sensors of the electronic device, the set of telematics data associated with the vehicle and the additional set of telematics data associated with the one or more other vehicles, wherein the combination of sensors comprises internal sensors or external sensors.

7 . A system comprising one or more processors and one or more non-transitory computer-readable media storing computing instructions that, when executed on the one or more processors, cause the one or more processors to perform operations comprising:

retrieving, by an electronic device, location data for a vehicle and one or more other vehicles, wherein the location data is associated with real-time data for a location associated with the location data;

comparing, by the electronic device, parameters comprising at least one parameter of a set of telematics data associated with the vehicle and at least one additional parameter of an additional set of telematics data associated with the one or more other vehicles (a) within a threshold distance of the vehicle, and (b) of a same body type as the vehicle, to determine a degree of deviation between the parameters, wherein the comparing uses the location data associated with the real-time data; and

transmitting for displaying, on the electronic device via a visual dashboard on an interactive user interface:

the degree of deviation between the parameters to an operator of the vehicle to provide feedback to the operator of the vehicle indicating whether vehicle operation of the vehicle deviates from operations of the one or more other vehicles based on the degree of deviation; and

a warning comprising a suggestion for the operator of the vehicle to modify a driving operation of the vehicle based at least on the degree of deviation.

8 . The system of claim 7 , wherein the electronic device comprises a mobile device or a computer server.

9 . The system of claim 7 , wherein the degree of deviation comprises at least one of an absolute difference between the parameters or a percentage difference between the parameters.

10 . The system of claim 7 , wherein the real-time data further comprises public safety data or weather information.

11 . The system of claim 7 , wherein the at least one additional parameter of the additional set of telematics data is further associated with the one or more other vehicles in a same driving mode as the vehicle, wherein the same driving mode comprises one or more of a manual driving mode or an autonomous driving mode.

12 . The system of claim 7 , wherein the operations further comprise:

accumulating, using a combination of sensors of the electronic device, the set of telematics data associated with the vehicle and the additional set of telematics data associated with the one or more other vehicles, wherein the combination of sensors comprises internal sensors or external sensors.

13 . One or more non-transitory computer-readable media storing computing instructions that, when executed by one or more processors, cause the one or more processors to perform operations comprising:

retrieving, by an electronic device, location data for a vehicle and one or more other vehicles, wherein the location data is associated with real-time data for a location associated with the location data;

comparing, by the electronic device, parameters comprising at least one parameter of a set of telematics data associated with the vehicle and at least one additional parameter of an additional set of telematics data associated with the one or more other vehicles (a) within a threshold distance of the vehicle, and (b) of a same body type as the vehicle, to determine a degree of deviation between the parameters, wherein the comparing uses the location data associated with the real-time data; and

transmitting for displaying, on the electronic device via a visual dashboard on an interactive user interface:

the degree of deviation between the parameters to an operator of the vehicle to provide feedback to the operator of the vehicle indicating whether vehicle operation of the vehicle deviates from operations of the one or more other vehicles based on the degree of deviation; and

a warning comprising a suggestion for the operator of the vehicle to modify a driving operation of the vehicle based at least on the degree of deviation.

14 . The one or more non-transitory computer-readable media of claim 13 , wherein the electronic device comprises a mobile device or a computer server.

15 . The one or more non-transitory computer-readable media of claim 13 , wherein the degree of deviation comprises at least one of an absolute difference between the parameters or a percentage difference between the parameters.
