Abstract

Claims (10)

1 . A retainer for a beverage container with a stem, comprising:

a base portion;

a recess formed in the base portion, wherein the recess includes a relief portion disposed at an angle of about 15 degrees;

a retainer cap coupled to the base portion and covering the recess; and

a flexible retainer disposed in the recess between the base portion and the retainer cap and adapted to hold the stem, wherein the flexible retainer includes a retainer slot that forms opposing finger like portions that are adapted to flex outwardly away from one another and into the relief portion when the stem is pushed into the retainer slot.

2 . The retainer of claim 1 , wherein the base portion is part of a table, a tray, or a storage container.

3 . The retainer of claim 1 , wherein the flexible retainer is made of a flexible material.

4 . The retainer of claim 1 , wherein the base portion includes a first slot adapted to receive the stem.

5 . The retainer of claim 4 , wherein the retainer slot is substantially aligned with the first slot and is adapted to receive the stem.

6 . The retainer of claim 5 , wherein the retainer cap includes a cap slot substantially aligned with the first slot and the retainer slot and that is adapted to receive the stem.
