Abstract

A system and method for multivariate testing of messages to a subgroup in a one-to-many messaging platform. A client text message is generated for transmission to a number of users via one or more messaging services. A subset of users is defined according to one or more attributes of the text message or the users, and the client text message is transmitted only to users in the subgroup. The transmission is analyzed for performance metrics, such as actions or reactions by users in the subgroup, and based on the performance metrics, the message is optimized for transmission to the larger group of users. Optimization happens rapidly.

Claims (56)

1 . A method comprising:

uniquely associating a durable long-code telephone number with a client of a messaging platform;

receiving, via the messaging platform, a plurality of incoming messages directed to the client via the durable long-code telephone number;

identifying a plurality of users of the messaging platform based on user data associated with the plurality of incoming messages;

identifying a first subset of the plurality of users and a second subset of the plurality of users;

determining a first message;

transmitting, via one or more messaging services associated with the messaging platform, the first message to each user of the first subset of the plurality of users;

determining a performance metric of the first message among the first subset of the plurality of users;

generating, based on the first message and the performance metric, a second message; and

transmitting, via the one or more messaging services, the second message to each user of the second subset of the plurality of users,

wherein:

the second subset of the plurality of users comprises a first user and the first subset of the plurality of users does not comprise the first user.

2 . The method of claim 1 , further comprising determining, via an artificial intelligence (AI) process, a conversation, the conversation comprising:

an incoming message of the plurality of incoming messages,

the second message,

a message communicated to a second client, and

a message communicated by the second client.

3 . The method of claim 1 , wherein said determining the first message comprises automatically generating the message via one or more of an AI process and a machine learning process.

4 . The method of claim 3 , wherein said automatically generating comprises mimicking, via the one or more of an AI process and a machine learning process, a trait associated with a personality of the client.

5 . The method of claim 1 , wherein said transmitting the second message to each user of the second subset of the plurality of users comprises prioritizing a queue of messages for transmission.

6 . The method of claim 5 , wherein said prioritizing is based on a carrier constraint associated with a user of the second subset of the plurality of users.

7 . The method of claim 5 , wherein said prioritizing is based on a message channel bandwidth associated with a user of the second subset of the plurality of users.

8 . The method of claim 5 , wherein said prioritizing is based on a local time associated with a user of the second subset of the plurality of users.

9 . A non-transitory computer-readable medium storing instructions which, when executed by one or more processors, cause the one or more processors to perform a method comprising:

uniquely associating a durable long-code telephone number with a client of a messaging platform;

receiving, via the messaging platform, a plurality of incoming messages directed to the client via the durable long-code telephone number;

identifying a plurality of users of the messaging platform based on user data associated with the plurality of incoming messages;

identifying a first subset of the plurality of users and a second subset of the plurality of users;

determining a first message;

transmitting, via one or more messaging services associated with the messaging platform, the first message to each user of the first subset of the plurality of users;

determining a performance metric of the first message among the first subset of the plurality of users;

generating, based on the first message and the performance metric, a second message; and

transmitting, via the one or more messaging services, the second message to each user of the second subset of the plurality of users, wherein:

the second subset of the plurality of users comprises a first user and the first subset of the plurality of users does not comprise the first user.

10 . The non-transitory computer-readable medium of claim 9 , wherein said determining the first message comprises mimicking, via one or more of an AI process and a machine learning process, a trait associated with a personality of the client.

11 . The non-transitory computer-readable medium of claim 9 , wherein said transmitting the second message to each user of the second subset of the plurality of users comprises prioritizing a queue of messages for transmission.

12 . The non-transitory computer-readable medium of claim 11 , wherein said prioritizing is based on a carrier constraint associated with a user of the second subset of the plurality of users.

13 . The non-transitory computer-readable medium of claim 11 , wherein said prioritizing is based on a message channel bandwidth associated with a user of the second subset of the plurality of users.

14 . The non-transitory computer-readable medium of claim 11 , wherein said prioritizing is based on a local time associated with a user of the second subset of the plurality of users.

15 . A system comprising:

one or more processors in communication with a messaging platform configured to facilitate communication between a client and a plurality of users via one or more messaging services, the one or more processors configured to perform a method comprising:

uniquely associating a durable long-code telephone number with a client of the messaging platform;

receiving, via the messaging platform, a plurality of incoming messages directed to the client via the durable long-code telephone number;

identifying a plurality of users of the messaging platform based on user data associated with the plurality of incoming messages;

identifying a first subset of the plurality of users and a second subset of the plurality of users;

determining a first message;

transmitting, via one or more messaging services associated with the messaging platform, the first message to each user of the first subset of the plurality of users;

determining a performance metric of the first message among the first subset of the plurality of users;

generating, based on the first message and the performance metric, a second message; and

transmitting, via the one or more messaging services, the second message to each user of the second subset of the plurality of users, wherein:

the second subset of the plurality of users comprises a first user and the first subset of the plurality of users does not comprise the first user.

16 . The system of claim 15 , wherein said determining the first message comprises mimicking, via one or more of an AI process and a machine learning process, a trait associated with a personality of the client.

17 . The system of claim 15 , wherein said transmitting the second message to each user of the second subset of the plurality of users comprises prioritizing a queue of messages for transmission.

18 . The system of claim 17 , wherein said prioritizing is based on a carrier constraint associated with a user of the second subset of the plurality of users.

19 . The system of claim 17 , wherein said prioritizing is based on a message channel bandwidth associated with a user of the second subset of the plurality of users.

20 . The system of claim 17 , wherein said prioritizing is based on a local time associated with a user of the second subset of the plurality of users.
