Abstract

A method for facilitating automated application generation is disclosed. The method includes receiving, via a graphical user interface, a request to generate an application, the request including application requirements; identifying tenant information that corresponds to the request based on the application requirements, the tenant information including an infrastructure framework; configuring components that correspond to the infrastructure framework based on the application requirements; automatically generating the application by using the tenant information and the components; and generating documentation for the generated application, the documentation including data that relates to the tenant information, the components, and the generated application.

Claims (92)

1 . A method for facilitating automated application generation, the method being implemented by at least one processor, the method comprising:

persisting, by the at least one processor, generated tenant infrastructures over a predetermined period of time;

receiving, by the at least one processor via a graphical user interface, a request to generate an application, the request including at least one application requirement;

identifying, by the at least one processor, tenant information that corresponds to the request based on the at least one application requirement, the tenant information including at least one infrastructure framework;

comparing, by the at least one processor, the identified tenant information to the persisted generated tenant infrastructures to determine whether the identified tenant information was previously generated;

when a determination is made that the identified tenant information was not previously generated:

configuring, by the at least one processor, at least one component that corresponds to the at least one infrastructure framework based on the at least one application requirement;

automatically generating, by the at least one processor, the application by using the tenant information and the at least one component, wherein the application is implemented in a first cloud system, wherein the generating of the application includes:

determining, by the at least one processor, a business context associated with the request;

generating, by the at least one processor, a base implementation of the application based on the determined business context;

implementing, by the at least one processor, industry standard formats into the base implementation of the application based on the determined business context;

implementing, by the at least one processor, a continuous integration and continuous deployment pipeline into the application;

automatically detecting, by the at least one processor, required dependencies of the application;

mapping, by the at least one processor, the required dependencies of the application;

automatically updating, by the at least one processor, the required dependencies of the application based on a result of the mapping, wherein the updating includes automatically reforming required dependencies of the application when the application is moved from being implemented in the first cloud system to being implemented in a second cloud system; and

automatically wiring, by the at least one processor, the updated required dependencies with the at least one component;

customizing, by the at least one processor, the generated application by provisioning at least one override based on the at least one application requirement; and

generating, by the at least one processor, documentation for the generated application, the documentation including data that relates to at least one from among the tenant information, the at least one component, and the generated application, wherein the documentation is generated as an application configuration file that includes formatting information related to the generated application; and

when a determination is made that the identified tenant information was previously generated:

stopping, by the at least one processor, the facilitating of the automated application generation.

2 . The method of claim 1 , wherein the tenant information corresponds to cloud resource data that are associated with a user group, the user group relating to the request to generate the application.

3 . The method of claim 1 , further comprising:

automatically generating, by the at least one processor, the at least one infrastructure framework as infrastructure as code;

identifying, by the at least one processor via the infrastructure as code, at least one from among a standardized tool, a standardized cloud component, and a standardized automation process; and

generating, by the at least one processor via the infrastructure as code, at least one configurable application component and a corresponding service.

4 . The method of claim 1 , wherein the at least one component includes at least one required infrastructure component, the at least one required infrastructure component including at least one from among a database instance, a server resource, and a secured path to store secured application data.

5 . The method of claim 1 , wherein the generating of the application further comprises:

generating, by the at least one processor, at least one base application structure by using the tenant information and the at least one component; and

generating, by the at least one processor, at least one default implementation for each of the at least one base application structure by using the tenant information, the at least one component, and a business context.

6 . The method of claim 5 , wherein the at least one base application structure and the corresponding at least one default implementation are customized by provisioning the at least one override based on the at least one application requirement.

7 . The method of claim 5 , further comprising:

configuring, by the at least one processor, the at least one base application structure based on the required dependencies.

8 . The method of claim 7 , wherein the mapping of the dependencies is associated with a cloud computing environment.

9 . The method of claim 1 , wherein the at least one application requirement defines transaction parameters consistent with a business context associated with a settlement system.

10 . A computing device configured to implement an execution of a method for facilitating automated application generation, the computing device comprising:

a processor;

a memory; and

a communication interface coupled to each of the processor and the memory,

wherein the processor is configured to:

persist generated tenant infrastructures over a predetermined period of time;

receive, via a graphical user interface, a request to generate an application, the request including at least one application requirement;

identify tenant information that corresponds to the request based on the at least one application requirement, the tenant information including at least one infrastructure framework;

compare the identified tenant information to the persisted generated tenant infrastructures to determine whether the identified tenant information was previously generated;

when a determination is made that the identified tenant information was not previously generated:

configure at least one component that corresponds to the at least one infrastructure framework based on the at least one application requirement;

automatically generate the application by using the tenant information and the at least one component, wherein the application is implemented in a first cloud system, wherein the generating of the application includes:

determining a business context associated with the request;

generating a base implementation of the application based on the determined business context;

implementing industry standard formats into the base implementation of the application based on the determined business context;

implementing a continuous integration and continuous deployment pipeline into the application;

automatically detecting required dependencies of the application;

mapping the required dependencies of the application;

automatically updating the required dependencies of the application based on a result of the mapping, wherein the updating includes automatically reforming required dependencies of the application when the application is moved from being implemented in the first cloud system to being implemented in a second cloud system; and

automatically wiring the updated required dependencies with the at least one component;

customize the generated application by provisioning at least one override based on the at least one application requirement; and

generate documentation for the generated application, the documentation including data that relates to at least one from among the tenant information, the at least one component, and the generated application, wherein the documentation is generated as an application configuration file that includes formatting information related to the generated application; and

when a determination is made that the identified tenant information was previously generated:

stop the facilitating of the automated application generation.

11 . The computing device of claim 10 , wherein the tenant information corresponds to cloud resource data that are associated with a user group, the user group relating to the request to generate the application.

12 . The computing device of claim 10 , wherein the processor is further configured to:

automatically generate the at least one infrastructure framework as infrastructure as code;

identify, via the infrastructure as code, at least one from among a standardized tool, a standardized cloud component, and a standardized automation process; and

generate, via the infrastructure as code, at least one configurable application component and a corresponding service.

The computing device of claim 10 , wherein the at least one component includes at least one required infrastructure component, the at least one required infrastructure component including at least one from among a database instance, a server resource, and a secured path to store secured application data.

14 . The computing device of claim 10 , wherein, to generate the application, the processor is further configured to:

generate at least one base application structure by using the tenant information and the at least one component; and

generate at least one default implementation for each of the at least one base application structure by using the tenant information, the at least one component, and a business context.

15 . The computing device of claim 14 , wherein the processor is further configured to customize the at least one base application structure and the corresponding at least one default implementation by provisioning the at least one override based on the at least one application requirement.

16 . The computing device of claim 14 , wherein the processor is further configured to:

configure the at least one base application structure based on the required dependencies.

17 . The computing device of claim 16 , wherein the mapping of the dependencies is associated with a cloud computing environment.

18 . A non-transitory computer readable storage medium storing instructions for facilitating automated application generation, the storage medium comprising executable code which, when executed by a processor, causes the processor to:

persist generated tenant infrastructures over a predetermined period of time;

receive, via a graphical user interface, a request to generate an application, the request including at least one application requirement;

identify tenant information that corresponds to the request based on the at least one application requirement, the tenant information including at least one infrastructure framework;

compare the identified tenant information to the persisted generated tenant infrastructures to determine whether the identified tenant information was previously generated;

when a determination is made that the identified tenant information was not previously generated:

configure at least one component that corresponds to the at least one infrastructure framework based on the at least one application requirement;

automatically generate the application by using the tenant information and the at least one component, wherein the application is implemented in a first cloud system, wherein the generating of the application includes:

determining a business context associated with the request;

generating a base implementation of the application based on the determined business context;

implementing industry standard formats into the base implementation of the application based on the determined business context;

implementing a continuous integration and continuous deployment pipeline into the application;

automatically detecting required dependencies of the application;

mapping the required dependencies of the application;

automatically updating the required dependencies of the application based on a result of the mapping, wherein the updating includes automatically reforming required dependencies of the application when the application is moved from being implemented in the first cloud system to being implemented in a second cloud system; and

automatically wiring the updated required dependencies with the at least one component;

customize the generated application by provisioning at least one override based on the at least one application requirement; and

generate documentation for the generated application, the documentation including data that relates to at least one from among the tenant information, the at least one component, and the generated application, wherein the documentation is generated as an application configuration file that includes formatting information related to the generated application; and

when a determination is made that the identified tenant information was previously generated:

stop the facilitating of the automated application generation.

19 . The storage medium of claim 18 , wherein the tenant information corresponds to cloud resource data that are associated with a user group, the user group relating to the request to generate the application.
