Abstract

The honeycomb structural body comprises pillar-shaped honeycomb structural porous ceramic members formed by arranging a plurality of cells through cell walls, and a sealing material layer interposed between the ceramic members and having a specific surface area of approximately 10 to 100 m 2 /g, and the honeycomb structural body is constructed by bonding a plurality of porous ceramic members through sealing material layer as an exhaust gas convertion apparatus.
