Abstract

An aggregation apparatus including: a computer, an output device, a display controlled by the computer, and networking hardware connecting the computer to a network, the computer programmed so that the aggregation apparatus: communicates with at least one computer via the Internet to obtain peer-to-peer information corresponding to real time data shared by at least one other computer; processes the peer-to-peer information to produce an aggregation; and then renders the aggregation as output; and then presents at least some of the aggregation and at least one of at least some of the information in a customizable user interface, at least some of the aggregation in association with an automatically generated score that represents a level of communication activity, and at least some of the information in a user interface which includes an automatically generated list of contacts and their associated recent activity.

Claims (91)

1. An aggregation apparatus including:

a computer, an output device, a display controlled by the computer, and networking hardware connecting the computer to a network, the computer programmed so that the aggregation apparatus:

communicates with at least one computer using peer-to-peer file transfer protocol via the Internet to obtain third party system resources;

processes the third party system resources to produce an aggregation of peer-to-peer communicated data;

renders the aggregation as output; and

presents at least some of the aggregation and at least one of:

at least some of the peer-to-peer communicated data in a user interface,

at least some of the aggregation in association with an automatically generated score that represents a level of communication activity, and

at least some of the peer-to-peer communicated data which includes an automatically generated list of associated recent activity.

2. The apparatus of claim 1 , wherein the third party system resources is streamed data.

3. The apparatus of claim 1 , wherein the third party system resources includes streamed audio data.

4. The apparatus of claim 1 , wherein the third party system resources includes streamed video data.

5. The apparatus of claim 1 , wherein the aggregation apparatus presents said at least some of the peer-to-peer communicated data in the user interface.

6. The apparatus of claim 1 , wherein the aggregation apparatus presents said at least some of the aggregation in association with the automatically generated score that represents the level of communication activity.

7. The apparatus of claim 1 , wherein the aggregation apparatus presents said at least some of the peer-to-peer communicated data in a user interface which includes the automatically generated list of the associated recent activity.

8. The apparatus of claim 1 , wherein the aggregation apparatus processes the third party system resources by parsing the third party system resources so as to produce the aggregation.

9. The apparatus of claim 2 , wherein the aggregation apparatus processes the third party system resources by parsing the third party system resources so as to produce the aggregation.

10. The apparatus of claim 3 , wherein the aggregation apparatus processes the third party system resources by parsing the third party system resources so as to produce the aggregation.

11. The apparatus of claim 4 , wherein the aggregation apparatus processes the third party system resources by parsing the third party system resources so as to produce the aggregation.

12. The apparatus of claim 5 , wherein the aggregation apparatus processes the third party system resources by parsing the third party system resources so as to produce the aggregation.

13. The apparatus of claim 6 , wherein the aggregation apparatus processes the third party system resources by parsing the third party system resources so as to produce the aggregation.

14. The apparatus of claim 7 , wherein the aggregation apparatus processes the third party system resources by parsing the third party system resources so as to produce the aggregation.

15. The apparatus of claim 1 , wherein the aggregation apparatus provides access right control related to the peer-to-peer communicated data.

16. The apparatus of claim 2 , wherein the aggregation apparatus provides access right control related to the peer-to-peer communicated data.

17. The apparatus of claim 3 , wherein the aggregation apparatus provides access right control related to the peer-to-peer communicated data.

18. The apparatus of claim 4 , wherein the aggregation apparatus provides access right control related to the peer-to-peer communicated data.

19. The apparatus of claim 5 , wherein the aggregation apparatus provides access right control related to the peer-to-peer communicated data.

20. The apparatus of claim 6 , wherein the aggregation apparatus provides access right control related to the peer-to-peer communicated data.

21. The apparatus of claim 7 , wherein the aggregation apparatus provides access right control related to the peer-to-peer communicated data.

22. The apparatus of claim 8 , wherein the aggregation apparatus provides access right control related to the aggregation.

23. The apparatus of claim 9 , wherein the aggregation apparatus provides access right control related to the aggregation.

24. The apparatus of claim 10 , wherein the aggregation apparatus provides access right control related to the aggregation.

25. The apparatus of claim 11 , wherein the aggregation apparatus provides access right control related to the aggregation.

26. The apparatus of claim 12 , wherein the aggregation apparatus provides access right control related to the aggregation.

27. The apparatus of claim 13 , wherein the aggregation apparatus provides access right control related to the aggregation.

28. The apparatus of claim 1 , wherein the aggregation apparatus provides access right control related to the aggregation.

29. A method of making an aggregation apparatus, the method comprising:

programming a computer of a computer system, the computer system comprising an output device and networking hardware to connect the computer to a network, with program instructions so that the aggregation apparatus:

communicates with at least one computer using peer-to-peer file transfer protocol via the Internet to obtain third party system resources;

processes the third party system resources to produce an aggregation of peer-to-peer communicated data;

renders the aggregation as output;

presents at least some of the aggregation and at least one of:

at least some of the peer-to-peer communicated data in a user interface,

at least some of the aggregation in association with an automatically generated score that represents a level of communication activity, and

at least some of the peer-to-peer communicated data which includes an automatically generated list of associated recent activity.

30. The method of claim 29 , wherein the third party system resources includes streamed data.

31. The method of claim 29 , wherein the third party system resources includes streamed audio data.

32. The method of claim 29 , wherein the third party system resources includes streamed video data.

33. The method of claim 29 , wherein the aggregation apparatus presents said at least some of the peer-to-peer communicated data in the user interface.

34. The method of claim 29 , wherein the programming of the computer includes programming the computer so that the aggregation apparatus presents said at least some of the aggregation in association with the automatically generated score that represents the level of communication activity.

35. The method of claim 29 , wherein the programming of the computer includes programming the computer so that the aggregation apparatus presents said at least some of the peer-to-peer communicated data in a user interface which includes the automatically generated list of associated recent activity.

36. The method of claim 29 , wherein the programming of the computer includes programming the computer so that the aggregation apparatus processes the third party system resources by parsing the third party system resources so as to produce the aggregation.

37. The method of claim 30 , wherein the programming of the computer includes programming the computer so that the aggregation apparatus processes the third party system resources by parsing the third party system resources so as to produce the aggregation.

38. The method of claim 31 , wherein the programming of the computer includes programming the computer so that the aggregation apparatus processes the third party system resources by parsing the third party system resources so as to produce the aggregation.

39. The method of claim 32 , wherein the programming of the computer includes programming the computer so that the aggregation apparatus processes the third party system resources by parsing the third party system resources so as to produce the aggregation.

40. The method of claim 33 , wherein the programming of the computer includes programming the computer so that the aggregation apparatus processes the third party system resources by parsing the third party system resources so as to produce the aggregation.

41. The method of claim 34 , wherein the programming of the computer includes programming the computer so that the aggregation apparatus processes the third party system resources by parsing the third party system resources so as to produce the aggregation.

42. The method of claim 35 , wherein the programming of the computer includes programming the computer so that the aggregation apparatus processes the third party system resources by parsing the third party system resources so as to produce the aggregation.

43. The method of claim 36 , wherein the programming of the computer includes programming the computer so that the aggregation apparatus provides access right control related to the peer-to-peer communicated data.

44. The method of claim 30 , wherein the programming of the computer includes programming the computer so that the aggregation apparatus provides access right control related to the peer-to-peer communicated data.

45. The method of claim 31 , wherein the programming of the computer includes programming the computer so that the aggregation apparatus provides access right control related to the peer-to-peer communicated data.

46. The method of claim 32 , wherein the programming of the computer includes programming the computer so that the aggregation apparatus provides access right control related to the peer-to-peer communicated data.

47. The method of claim 33 , wherein the programming of the computer includes programming the computer so that the aggregation apparatus provides access right control related to the peer-to-peer communicated data.

48. The method of claim 34 , wherein the programming of the computer includes programming the computer so that the aggregation apparatus provides access right control related to the peer-to-peer communicated data.

49. The method of claim 35 , wherein the programming of the computer includes programming the computer so that the aggregation apparatus provides access right control related to the peer-to-peer communicated data.

50. The method of claim 29 , wherein the programming of the computer includes programming the computer so that the aggregation apparatus provides access right control related to the aggregation.

51. The method of claim 37 , wherein the programming of the computer includes programming the computer so that the aggregation apparatus provides access right control related to the aggregation.

52. The method of claim 38 , wherein the programming of the computer includes programming the computer so that the aggregation apparatus provides access right control related to the aggregation.

53. The method of claim 39 , wherein the programming of the computer includes programming the computer so that the aggregation apparatus provides access right control related to the aggregation.

54. The method of claim 40 , wherein the programming of the computer includes programming the computer so that the aggregation apparatus provides access right control related to the aggregation.

55. The method of claim 41 , wherein the programming of the computer includes programming the computer so that the aggregation apparatus provides access right control related to the aggregation.

56. The method of claim 42 , wherein the programming of the computer includes programming the computer so that the aggregation apparatus provides access right control related to the aggregation.

57. A method of using an aggregation apparatus, the method comprising:

operating a computer, which is connected by networking hardware to a network and which is programmed, so that the aggregation apparatus performs the operations of:

communicating with at least one computer using peer-to-peer file transfer protocol via the Internet to obtain third party system resources;

processing the third party system resources to produce

an aggregation of peer-to-peer communicated data;

rendering the aggregation as output;

presenting at least some of the aggregation and at least one of:

at least some of the peer-to-peer communicated data in a user interface,

at least some of the aggregation in association with an automatically generated score that represents a level of communication activity, and

at least some of the peer-to-peer of peer-to-peer communicated data in a user interface which includes an automatically generated list of associated recent activity.

58. Non-transient computer-readable media, tangibly embodying program instructions, which when executed, at an aggregation apparatus operably associated with networking hardware to connect the computer system to a network, will cause the aggregation apparatus to carry out the operations of:

communicating with at least one computer using peer-to-peer file transfer protocol via the Internet to obtain third party system resources;

processing the third party system resources to produce an aggregation;

rendering the aggregation as output;

presenting at least some of the aggregation and at least one of:

at least some of the peer-to-peer communicated data in a user interface,

at least some of the aggregation in association with an automatically generated score that represents a level of communication activity,

and

at least some of the peer-to-peer communicated data in a user interface which includes an automatically generated list of associated recent activity.
