Methods of treating sarcopenia
In some aspects, a method of regulating oxidoreductase activity for treating an inflammation or age-related disorder involves administering to an individual isomyosmine or a pharmaceutically acceptable salt thereof. In other aspects, a method of treating oxidative stress associated with an inflammation or age-related disorder involves administering to an individual a therapeutically effective amount of isomyosmine or a pharmaceutically acceptable salt thereof. In other aspects, isomyosmine or a pharmaceutically acceptable salt thereof may be administered to an individual for the treatment of infectious or parasitic diseases or various other disorders.
1. A method of treating sarcopenia comprising administering to an individual in need thereof a therapeutically effective amount of isomyosmine or a pharmaceutically acceptable salt thereof, and a pharmaceutically acceptable vehicle therefor.
2. The method of claim 1 , wherein the therapeutically effective amount is from about 0.001 to about 75 mg/kg/day.
3. The method of claim 1 , wherein the therapeutically effective amount is from about 0.01 to about 50 mg/kg/day.
4. The method of claim 1 , wherein the therapeutically effective amount is from about 0.1 to about 40 mg/kg/day.
5. The method of claim 1 , wherein the therapeutically effective amount is from about 1 to about 30 mg/kg/day.
6. The method of claim 1 , wherein the therapeutically effective amount is from about 1 to about 20 mg/kg/day.
7. The method of claim 1 , wherein the therapeutically effective amount is from about 1 to about 10 mg/kg/day.
