(b) after seating said custom surgical stent, inserting said ablation probe tip having a center of ablation through one of said at least one surgical guides, said one of said at least one surgical guides guiding placement of said ablation probe tip so that said center of ablation is positioned at a predetermined location within a tooth bud at said at least one tooth bud surgical site; and

(c) providing ablation energy from an ablation probe unit through said ablation probe tip to said center of ablation at least once to at least partially ablate at least one tooth bud.

2 . The tooth bud ablation procedure of claim 1 , said step of physically seating a custom surgical stent having at least one surgical guide so said at least one surgical guide corresponds to at least one tooth bud surgical site further comprising a physically seating step selected from the group consisting of:

(a) physically seating said custom surgical stent in a patient's mouth;

(b) physically seating said custom surgical stent on a patient's erupted teeth;

(c) physically seating said custom surgical stent on at least one tooth in a patient's mouth;

(d) physically seating said custom surgical stent on a patient's soft tissue;

(e) physically seating said custom surgical stent on a patient's bone; and

(f) physically seating said custom surgical stent according to any combination of steps (a)-(e).

3 . The tooth bud ablation procedure of claim 1 , said step of guiding placement of an ablation probe tip further comprising the step of guiding placement of said ablation probe tip so that said center of ablation is in the middle of a tooth bud at said at least one tooth bud surgical site.

4 . The tooth bud ablation procedure of claim 1 , said step of guiding placement of an ablation probe tip further comprising the step of positioning said ablation probe tip through said at least one surgical guide at a pre-defined angle and depth using a mechanical structure of said ablation probe tip and said at least one surgical guide to form a stop therebetween.

5 . The tooth bud ablation procedure of claim 1 , said step of guiding placement of an ablation probe tip further comprising guiding placement of said ablation probe tip so that said center of ablation is positioned within approximately 10% of the average diameter of the tooth bud.

6 . The tooth bud ablation procedure of claim 1 , said step of guiding placement of an ablation probe tip further comprising the step of gaining access to said at least one tooth bud without causing necrosis to surrounding gingival tissue.

7 . The tooth bud ablation procedure of claim 1 , said step of at least partially ablating at least one tooth bud performed only after said center of ablation is in said predetermined location within said tooth bud.

8 . The tooth bud ablation procedure of claim 1 , said step of at least partially ablating at least one tooth bud further comprising the step of creating a zone of ablation that resides only within said at least one tooth bud.

9 . The tooth bud ablation procedure of claim 1 , said step of at least partially ablating at least one tooth bud further comprising the step of at least partially ablating at least one tooth bud without ablating surrounding tissue.

10 . The tooth bud ablation procedure of claim 1 , said step of at least partially ablating at least one tooth bud further comprising the step of at least partially ablating at least one tooth bud without ablating surrounding gingival tissue.

11 . The tooth bud ablation procedure of claim 1 , said step of at least partially ablating further comprising receiving feedback from feedback controls.

12 . The tooth bud ablation procedure of claim 1 further comprising the step of performing pre-surgical volume scanning to pre-operatively measure a precise three-dimensional location and volume of a tooth bud.

13 . The tooth bud ablation procedure of claim 1 further comprising the steps of:

(a) performing pre-surgical volume scanning; and

(b) said step of guiding placement further comprising guiding placement of said ablation probe tip to a computed pre-defined angle and depth of ablation that are computed using results from said pre-surgical volume scanning.

14 . The tooth bud ablation procedure of claim 1 , further comprising the steps of:

(a) performing pre-surgical volume scanning; and

(b) computing tooth bud volumes using results from said pre-surgical volume scanning.

15 . The tooth bud ablation procedure of claim 1 further comprising the steps of:

(a) performing pre-surgical volume scanning; and

(b) computing at least one pre-determined setting using results from said pre-surgical volume scanning.

16 . The tooth bud ablation procedure of claim 1 further comprising the steps of:

(a) performing pre-surgical volume scanning;

(b) computing tooth bud volumes using results from said pre-surgical volume scanning; and

(c) computing at least one pre-determined setting using results from said pre-surgical volume scanning.

17 . The tooth bud ablation procedure of claim 1 further comprising the steps of:

(a) performing pre-surgical volume scanning; and

(b) manufacturing or fabricating said custom surgical stent using results from said pre-surgical volume scanning.

18 . The tooth bud ablation procedure of claim 1 further comprising the steps of:

(a) performing pre-surgical volume scanning;

(b) computing a pre-defined angle and depth of ablation using results from said pre-surgical volume scanning;
