Abstract

A system for displaying information via a smart ring can include a ring band. The system for displaying information via a smart ring also can include at least one processor disposed within the ring band. The at least one processor disposed within the ring can be configured to identify a user of the smart ring. The at least one processor disposed within the ring further can be configured to analyze the data to identify a condition. The system for displaying information via a smart ring further can include a display disposed at least partially in, at least partially on, or coupled to the ring band and communicatively coupled to the processor. Furthermore, the at least one processor disposed within the ring can be configured to cause the display to present information indicative of the condition. Other embodiments are disclosed.

Claims (63)

1 . A system for displaying information via a smart ring comprising:

a ring band configured to be worn on a finger of a user;

a processor disposed within the ring band and configured to:

receive an identification of the user of the smart ring;

receive data from one or more of:

a communication module within the ring band, or

a sensor within the ring band; and

a display (a.1) disposed at least partially in, (a.2) disposed at least partially on, or (a.3) coupled to the ring band and (b) communicatively coupled to the processor, wherein the processor is configured to:

activate the display in a pattern indicative of the identification of the user to provide permissions to the user.

2 . The system for displaying the information via the smart ring of claim 1 , wherein:

the display is configured to present a condition identified by the smart ring, wherein the condition is a biometric condition of the user.

3 . The system for displaying the information via the smart ring of claim 1 , wherein:

the display is configured to present a condition identified by the smart ring, wherein the condition is a vehicular status or a vehicular operation.

4 . The system for displaying the information via the smart ring of claim 1 , wherein:

the display is configured to present a color depending on a condition, as identified.

5 . The system for displaying the information via the smart ring of claim 1 , wherein:

the processor communicates with a device to obtain a status of a vehicle.

6 . The system for displaying the information via the smart ring of claim 1 , wherein the pattern of the display comprises:

a sequential illumination depending on the identification of the user.

7 . The system for displaying the information via the smart ring of claim 1 , wherein:

the display is configured to present a message depending on a condition, as identified.

8 . The system for displaying the information via the smart ring of claim 1 , wherein:

the display is configured to scroll to a message depending on a condition, as identified.

9 . The system for displaying the information via the smart ring of claim 1 , wherein:

the processor configured to identify the user of the smart ring is further configured to unlock a door depending on a confirmed identification of the user.

10 . A method of displaying information via a smart ring comprising:

by a processor disposed within a ring band of the smart ring:

receiving an identification of a user of the smart ring;

receiving data from one or more of:

a communication module within the ring band, or

a sensor within the ring band; and

presenting the information via a display (a.1) disposed at least partially in, (a.2) disposed at least partially on, or (a.3) coupled to the ring band and (b) communicatively coupled to the processor, wherein:

the ring band is configured to be worn on a finger of the user; and

the processor is configured to:

activate the display in a pattern indicative of the identification of the user to provide permissions to the user.

11 . The method of displaying the information via the smart ring of claim 10 , wherein:

the display is configured to present a condition identified by the smart ring, wherein the condition is a biometric condition of the user.

12 . The method of displaying the information via the smart ring of claim 10 , wherein:

the processor communicates with a device to obtain a status of a vehicle.

13 . The method of displaying the information via the smart ring of claim 10 , wherein:

the display is configured to present a message depending on a condition, as identified.

14 . The method of displaying the information via the smart ring of claim 10 , wherein:

the processor configured to identify the user of the smart ring is further configured to unlock a door depending on a confirmed identification of the user.

15 . One or more non-transitory computer-readable media comprising computing instructions that, when executed on one or more processors, cause the one or more processors to perform operations comprising:

by a processor of the one or more processors disposed within a ring band of a smart ring:

receiving an identification of a user of the smart ring;

receiving data from one or more of:

a communication module within the ring band, or

a sensor within the ring band; and

presenting information via a display (a.1) disposed at least partially in, (a.2) disposed at least partially on, or (a.3) coupled to the ring band and (b) communicatively coupled to the processor, wherein:

the ring band is configured to be worn on a finger of the user; and

the processor is configured to:

activate the display in a pattern indicative of the identification of the user to provide permissions to the user.

16 . The one or more non-transitory computer-readable media of claim 15 , wherein:

the display is configured to present a condition identified by the smart ring, wherein the condition is a vehicular status or a vehicular operation.

17 . The one or more non-transitory computer-readable media of claim 15 , wherein:

the display is configured to present a color depending on a condition, as identified.

18 . The one or more non-transitory computer-readable media of claim 15 , wherein the pattern of the display comprises:

a sequential illumination depending on the identification of the user.

19 . The one or more non-transitory computer-readable media of claim 15 , wherein:

the display is configured to present a message depending on a condition, as identified.

20 . The one or more non-transitory computer-readable media of claim 15 , wherein:

the display is configured to scroll to a message depending on a condition, as identified.
