Abstract

A system for displaying information via a smart ring device can include a smart ring device. The smart ring device also can include a processor disposed within a ring band. The processor can be configured to collect data to identify one or more conditions. The one or more conditions can include one or more of a biometric of a user of the smart ring device, a state of the user of the smart ring device, or a condition of an environment of the user of the smart ring device. The smart ring device further can include a display at a surface of the ring band. The processor can be configured to cause the display to present the information indicative of the one or more conditions. The processor also can be configured to determine whether a termination condition has been met for the one or more conditions.

Claims (54)

1 . A system for displaying information via a smart ring device, the smart ring device comprising:

a ring band;

a microphone disposed within the ring band for receiving an audio input from a user;

a processor disposed within the ring band, communicatively coupled to the microphone, and configured to:

collect data to identify one or more conditions, the one or more conditions including one or more of a biometric of the user of the smart ring device, a state of the user of the smart ring device, or a condition of an environment; and

a display at a surface of the ring band and communicatively coupled to the processor, wherein the processor is configured to:

cause the display to present the information indicative of the one or more conditions, as identified; and

determine whether a termination condition has been met for the one or more conditions, as identified, wherein the termination condition comprises the audio input from the user that comprises a voice command specific to terminating display of the information indicative of the one or more conditions while maintaining the display in an active state.

2 . The system of claim 1 , wherein the processor is further configured to:

send the biometric of the user to a mobile device.

3 . The system of claim 1 , wherein the one or more conditions are received from one or more of a sensor of the smart ring device or a sensor of a vehicle.

4 . The system of claim 1 , wherein the one or more conditions are received from one or more of a driving history of the user, a health history of the user, or a behavior trend of the user.

5 . The system of claim 1 further comprising:

a projector that projects an image indicative of the information from the smart ring device onto a surface.

6 . The system of claim 1 , wherein the processor is further configured to:

detect a user input; and

activate the display in response to the user input.

7 . The system of claim 6 , wherein the user input comprises a press from one of a finger or a stylus on a surface of the smart ring device.

8 . A method of displaying information via a smart ring device, the method comprising:

collecting, by a processor disposed within a ring band of the smart ring device, data to identify one or more conditions, the one or more conditions including one or more of a biometric of a user of the smart ring device, a state of the user of the smart ring device, or a condition of an environment;

displaying the information indicative of the one or more conditions as identified via a display at a surface of the ring band; and

determining whether a termination condition has been met for the one or more conditions, as identified, wherein the termination condition comprises an audio input from the user that comprises a voice command specific to terminating display of the information indicative of the one or more conditions while maintaining the display in an active state.

9 . The method of claim 8 , wherein the processor is further configured to:

send the biometric of the user to a mobile device.

10 . The method of claim 8 , further comprising:

receiving the one or more conditions from one or more of a sensor of the smart ring device or a sensor of a vehicle.

11 . The method of claim 8 , further comprising:

receiving the one or more conditions from one or more of a driving history of the user, a health history of the user, or a behavior trend of the user.

12 . The method of claim 8 , further comprising:

projecting an image indicative of the information from the smart ring device onto a surface.

13 . The method of claim 8 , further comprising:

detecting, by the processor, a user input; and

activating, by the processor, the display in response to the user input.

14 . The method of claim 13 , wherein the user input, as detected, comprises:

a press from one of a finger or a stylus on a surface of the smart ring device.

15 . A system for displaying information comprising:

a smart ring device comprising:

a ring band;

a microphone disposed within the ring band for receiving an audio input from a user;

a display at a surface of the ring band;

a processor disposed within the ring band, communicatively coupled to the microphone, and configured to:

collect data to identify one or more conditions, the one or more conditions including one or more of a biometric of the user of the smart ring device, a state of the user of the smart ring device, or a condition of an environment;

transmit the information indicative of the one or more conditions, as identified, to the display;

cause the display to present the information indicative of the one or more conditions, as identified; and

determine whether a termination condition has been met for the one or more conditions, as identified, wherein the termination condition comprises the audio input from the user that comprises a voice command specific to terminating display of the information indicative of the one or more conditions while maintaining the display in an active state.

16 . The system of claim 15 , wherein the smart ring device further comprises:

a communication module configured to send the biometric of the user to a mobile device.

17 . The system of claim 15 , wherein the one or more conditions are received from one or more of a sensor of the smart ring device, a sensor of a vehicle, or a communication module configured to communicate with the smart ring device.

18 . The system of claim 15 , wherein the one or more conditions are received from one or more of a driving history of the user, a health history of the user, or a behavior trend of the user.

19 . The system of claim 15 further comprising:

a projector that projects an image indicative of the information from the smart ring device onto a surface.

20 . The system of claim 15 , wherein the processor is further configured to:

detect a user input; and

activate the display in response to the user input.
