Product securement and management system
A merchandising system that improves the merchandising of product by limiting the number and the frequency with which product can be removed from, for example, a merchandising shelf. The merchandising system may include a base configured to support product and a housing configured to engage the base. The housing may comprise a top wall, a first side wall, a second side wall, and a front retaining wall mounted to the base at an angle. The system may further include a spring-urged pusher movably mounted on the base. The system may further include an opening defined by the first side wall and the front retaining wall through which product may be removed.
1. A merchandising system, comprising:
a base configured to support product, the base defining a front edge, a back edge, a first side edge, and a second side edge;
a housing configured to engage with the base, comprising a top wall, a first side wall, and a second side wall;
a spring-urged pusher movably mounted on the base;
a front retaining wall, wherein the front retaining wall is mounted at an angle relative to the base and extends from the second side edge to the first side edge and toward the front edge; and
a lever operatively coupled to the merchandise display system for ejecting product through the opening,
wherein the front retaining wall and the first side wall define an opening for removing product from the base, and
wherein the lever includes a biasing element and a lever hook.
2. The system of claim 1 , wherein the front retaining wall is mounted at a 45 degree angle.
3. The system of claim 1 , wherein the front retaining wall does not fully extend from the second side edge to the first side edge.
4. The system of claim 1 , wherein the front retaining wall defines a channel located adjacent the base.
5. The system of claim 4 , wherein the lever is slidably mounted to the channel.
6. The system of claim 1 , wherein the lever hook is configured to move product on the base.
7. The system of claim 1 , wherein the biasing element is a coiled spring.
8. The system of claim 1 , wherein the pusher includes an angled pusher face.
9. The system of claim 8 , wherein the angle of the pusher face corresponds to the angle of the front retaining wall.
10. A merchandising system, comprising:
a base configured to support product, the base defining a front edge, a back edge, a first side edge, and a second side edge;
a housing configured to engage with the base, comprising a top wall, a first side wall, and a second side wall;
a spring-urged pusher movably mounted on the base;
a front retaining wall, wherein the front retaining wall is mounted at an angle relative to the base and extends from the second side edge to the first side edge and toward the front edge; and
a lever operatively coupled to the merchandise display system,
wherein the front retaining wall and the first side wall define an opening for removing product from the base, and
wherein the lever is configured to eject product through the opening, and wherein the lever includes a biasing element and a lever hook configured to move product on the base.
11. The system of claim 10 , wherein the lever is slidably translatable between a first position and a second position.
12. The system of claim 11 , wherein the lever hook engages a front most product when the lever is in the first position.
13. The system of claim 12 , wherein the front most product is ejected from the opening when the lever is moved from the first position to the second position.
