Abstract

An agricultural control system includes a controller comprising a memory and a processor. The controller is configured to determine a first segment of an implement path that enables an agricultural implement to perform an agricultural operation on a first region of an agricultural field. The controller is configured to determine a first segment of a vehicle path of an agricultural vehicle coupled to the agricultural implement based at least in part on the first segment of the implement path to direct the agricultural implement along the first region. The controller is configured to determine a first end-of-row turn of the vehicle path at an end of the first segment of the vehicle path independently of the implement path between the first segment of the implement path and a second segment of the implement path and to output a first signal indicative of the vehicle path.

determine a second segment of the implement path that enables the agricultural implement to perform the agricultural operation on a second region of the agricultural field;

determine a second segment of the vehicle path based at least in part on the second segment of the implement path to drive the agricultural implement along the second region;

determine a first end-of-row turn of the vehicle path at an end of the first segment of the vehicle path and a beginning of the second segment of the vehicle path; and

output a first signal indicative of the vehicle path.

2. The agricultural control system of claim 1 , comprising a base control system having the controller, wherein the controller is configured to output the first signal indicative of the vehicle path to a vehicle control system of the agricultural vehicle.

3. The agricultural control system of claim 1 , wherein the second region of the agricultural field is adjacent to the first region, and the controller is configured to determine the second segment of the implement path based at least in part on the first region.

4. The agricultural control system of claim 3 , wherein the controller is configured to determine the second segment of the vehicle path based at least in part on the lateral offset between the agricultural implement and the agricultural vehicle, and to determine a second end-of-row turn of the vehicle path at an end of the second segment of the vehicle path independently of the implement path between the second segment of the implement path and a third segment of the implement path.

5. The agricultural control system of claim 1 , wherein the controller is configured to receive at least one of a geometry or a capability of the agricultural implement from an equipment library.

6. The agricultural control system of claim 1 , wherein the controller is configured to determine the first end-of-row turn based at least in part on capabilities of the agricultural vehicle, capabilities of the agricultural implement, or both.

7. The agricultural control system of claim 1 , wherein the controller is configured to determine the first segment of the implement path based on at least in part on a geometry of the agricultural implement.

8. The agricultural control system of claim 1 , wherein the controller is configured to determine the first segment of the implement path based at least in part on a border of the agricultural field and a geometry of the agricultural implement.

9. An agricultural control system, comprising:

a base control system comprising a controller having a processor operatively coupled to a memory, wherein the controller is configured to:

determine a first segment of an implement path that enables an agricultural implement coupled to an agricultural vehicle to perform an agricultural operation on a first region of an agricultural field;

determine a first segment of a vehicle path of the agricultural vehicle based at least in part on the implement path and a lateral offset between the agricultural implement and the agricultural vehicle to direct the agricultural implement along the first region, wherein the lateral offset is a lateral distance between a first longitudinally extending laterally centered line of the agricultural implement and a second longitudinally extending laterally centered line of the agricultural vehicle while a hitch angle between the first and second longitudinally extending laterally centered lines is zero; and

output a first signal to a vehicle control system of the agricultural vehicle indicative of the vehicle path.

10. The agricultural control system of claim 9 , wherein the base control system is configured to determine a first end-of-row turn of the vehicle path at an end of the first segment of the vehicle path independently of the implement path between the first segment of the implement path and a second segment of the implement path.

11. The agricultural control system of claim 10 , wherein the base control system is configured to determine the second segment of the implement path that enables the agricultural implement to perform the agricultural operation on a second region of the agricultural field adjacent to the first region based at least in part on the first region.

12. The agricultural control system of claim 11 , wherein the base control system is configured to determine a second segment of the vehicle path based at least in part on the second segment of the implement path and the lateral offset between the agricultural implement and the agricultural vehicle to direct the agricultural implement along the second region, and to determine a second end-of-row turn of the vehicle path at an end of the second segment of the vehicle path independently of the implement path between the second segment of the implement path and a third segment of the implement path.

13. The agricultural control system of claim 9 , wherein the base control system is configured to receive at least one of a geometry or a capability of the agricultural implement from an equipment library.

14. At least one non-transitory, tangible, and computer-readable medium comprising instructions configured to be executed by a processor of a controller, wherein the instructions comprise instructions configured to cause the processor to:

determine a first segment of an implement path that enables an agricultural implement coupled to the agricultural vehicle to perform an agricultural operation on a first region of an agricultural field;

determine a first segment of a vehicle path of the agricultural vehicle based at least in part on the implement path and a lateral offset between the agricultural implement and the agricultural vehicle to direct the agricultural implement along the first region, wherein the lateral offset is a lateral distance between a first longitudinally extending laterally centered line of the agricultural implement and a second longitudinally extending laterally centered line of the agricultural vehicle while a hitch angle between the first and second longitudinally extending laterally centered lines is zero; and
