Abstract

Methods and apparatuses for determining whether to perform transmissions or receptions. A method for a user equipment (UE) to determine whether to perform the transmissions includes receiving a n for a search space set for receptions of physical downlink control channels (PDCCHs) according to a common search space (CSS) and receiving a PDCCH that includes a downlink control information (DCI) format. The method includes determining a set of time resources and a set of frequency resources based on an indication in the DCI format and canceling a transmission of a sounding reference signal (SRS) in time resources from the set of time resources based on determining that the SRS transmission would include frequency resources from the set of frequency resources. The method includes transmitting a physical uplink control channel in time resources from the set of time resources and in frequency resources from the set of frequency resources.

Claims (75)

1. A method performed by a terminal in a wireless communication system, the method comprising:

receiving, from a base station, time division duplex (TDD) configuration information of a slot format for a number of slots;

receiving, from the base station, first information for a transmission of a channel over a first set of symbols in a slot from the number of slots;

identifying, based on the slot format of the slot, a second set of symbols, from the first set of symbols, wherein all symbols in the second set of symbols are configured as downlink symbols;

transmitting, to the base station, the channel in a third set of symbols, wherein the third set of symbols is a subset of the first set of symbols that do not include any symbols from the second set of symbols;

receiving, from the base station, second information for symbols associated with synchronization signals and primary broadcast channel (SS/PBCH) blocks;

identifying a fourth set of symbols, wherein:

the fourth set of symbols is a subset of the first set of symbols, and

all symbols in the fourth set of symbols are configured as flexible symbols; and

2. The method of claim 1 , wherein all symbols in the third set of symbols are consecutive.

3. The method of claim 1 , wherein the third set of symbols includes at least two consecutive symbols.

4. The method of claim 1 , wherein the channel is a physical uplink shared channel (PUSCH).

5. The method of claim 1 , wherein:

the channel transmission is with repetitions, and

6. The method of claim 1 , further comprising:

identifying a sixth set of symbols, from the first set of symbols, wherein:

all symbols in the sixth set of symbols are configured as flexible symbols, and

the sixth set of symbols is a subset of the third set of symbols.

7. A user equipment (UE), comprising:
