Abstract

Compositions and methods for the treatment of hair growth and the prevention of hair loss.

Claims (20)

. A topical solution for use in growing hair in a human patient wherein the active agents consist of about 0.02-0.2% w/v latanoprost and about 2-7% w/v minoxidil.

. The topical solution according to claim 1 wherein the patient applies about 1 ml of solution per day to the area of hair loss on the scalp.

. The topical solution of claim 2 wherein the patient is suffering from hair loss.

. The topical solution of claim 1 wherein the solution is comprised of about 40%-50% w/v propylene glycol.

. The topical solution of claim 4 wherein the solution is comprised of about 40% w/v propylene glycol.

. The topical solution of claim 4 wherein the solution is comprised of about 50% w/v propylene glycol.

. The topical solution of claim 2 wherein the patient experiences an increase in hair density in the area where the formulation is applied within 45 days of daily use.

. The topical solution of claim 1 wherein the solution is applied to the locale of hair follicles on the scalp where there is hair loss.

. The topical solution of claim 1 wherein the solution is applied to prevent hair loss.

. The topical solution of claim 1 wherein the solution is applied to the eyebrows.

. The topical solution of claim 1 wherein the patient applies about 0.1 ml per day to each eyebrow.

. The topical solution of claim 2 wherein the patient applies solution to the scalp by use of a dropper.

. The topical solution of claim 1 comprising 0.1% w/v latanoprost and 5% w/v minoxidil.

. The topical solution of claim 1 comprising 0.08% w/v latanoprost and 4% w/v minoxidil.

. The topical solution of claim 1 comprising 0.04% w/v latanoprost and 4% w/v minoxidil.

. The topical solution of claim 14 further comprising 40% propylene glycol.

. The topical solution of claim 14 further comprising 50% propylene glycol.

. The topical solution of claim 16 further comprising oleic acid.
