Methods and system for providing offers in real time while preserving confidential information
View Patent ↗In a remote communication environment, a method for real-time presentation of information to one or more users accessing one or more websites using an electronic communications device. Various aspects of the method comprise at least the following. Communication is established via the electronic communications device between the user and the website to conduct one or more primary transactions. One or more electronic identifiers associated with the user are obtained. One or more further or additional data elements related to the user are obtained from a third party using the at least one electronic identifier. Based at least on the electronic identifier and the further data element, the information is selected for presentation to the user in real time with the primary transaction. The information is presented to the user in real time with the primary transaction.
1. A method for providing offers in real time of an item constituting a good or a service in the form of offers for purchase of the item to prospective customers as users of the system, utilizing an electronic communications device, comprising the steps of:
establishing a communication via the electronic communications device between the user and the system for purpose of a user initiated primary transaction for purchase of a specific good or service, wherein the system includes a search engine website,
obtaining primary transaction data with respect to the primary transaction via the search engine website, including the identity of the prospective customer and of the good or service for purchase in the primary transaction,
providing information to an upsell system in a generic manner regarding the user so as to preserve specific confidential information of the user, wherein at least some of the information provided has been obtained without the user's knowledge,
generating an upsell offer by the upsell system as a result of the user initiated primary transaction by:
utilizing a coded designator originated by a third party, wherein the coded designator is indicative of processed data from the user, including, financial institutions and transactions processors, and the obtained primary transaction data, and\
offering the item to the prospective customer and receiving an acceptance of the offer from at least one user in real time during the course of the user initiated communication.
2. A method for providing offers in real time of an item constituting a good or a service in the form of offers for purchase of the item to prospective customers as users of the system, utilizing an electronic communications device, comprising the steps of:
establishing a communication via the electronic communications device between the user and the system for purpose of a user initiated primary transaction for purchase of a specific good or service, wherein the system includes a search engine website and wherein the user initiated primary transaction includes at least one search conducted via the search engine website,
obtaining primary transaction data with respect to the primary transaction, including the identity of the prospective customer and of the good or service for purchase in the primary transaction,
providing information in a generic manner regarding the user so as to preserve specific confidential information of the user, wherein at least some of the information provided is obtained without the user's knowledge,
generating an upsell offer as a result of the user initiated primary transaction by:
utilizing a coded designator originated by a third party, wherein the coded designator is indicative of processed data from the user, including, financial institutions and transactions processors, and the obtained primary transaction data, and
offering the item to the prospective customer and receiving an acceptance of the offer from at least one user in real time during the course of the user initiated communication.
3. A system for providing offers in real time of an item constituting a good or a service in the form of offers for purchase of the item to prospective customers as users of the system, utilizing an electronic communications device, comprising:
an interface configured for establishing a user initiated communication via the electronic communications device between the user and the system for purpose of a primary transaction for purchase of a specific good or service, wherein the system includes a search engine website,
an input collection system configured for obtaining primary transaction data with respect to the primary transaction, including an identification data unit to obtain the identity of the prospective customer and of the good or service for purchase in the primary transaction,
a data access system configured for utilizing the identity of the prospective customer to obtain at least a second data element relating to the user,
an upsell determining unit configured for utilizing, responsive to the user initiated primary transaction, a coded designator originated by a third party, wherein the coded designator is indicative of processed data the user from raw data, including financial institutions and transactions processors, and the obtained primary transaction data,
wherein information regarding the user is provided in a generic manner so as to preserve specific confidential information of the user and at least some of the provided information is obtained without the user's knowledge, and
a communication system configured for offering the item to the prospective customer in real time during the course of the user initiated communication and receiving an acceptance of the offer from at least one user.
