Abstract

Apparatus for display of digital content associated with a location of a Node in a wireless communication area. A user interface is generated with a digital representation of content associated with a physical tag or other Node. The user interface includes interactive portions based upon positions in the wireless communication area. The interactive portions may be activated to display the digital content associated with the physical tag in a user interface.

Claims (37)

1. An Agent supportable device for indicating an item of interest, the Agent supportable device comprising:

a. a smart device supportable by an Agent at a location relative to a ground plane, the smart device comprising:

b. a memory storing a software program;

c. a directional sensor enabling an indication of a magnetic based direction;

d. an antenna configured to communicate with a wireless data transceiver;

e. an ultra-wideband (UWB) receiver in logical communication with the antenna;

f. a transmitter also in logical communication with the antenna;

g. a user interface surface;

h. a clock;

i. a processor in logical communication with the memory, the processor operative via execution of the software program to cause the Agent supportable device to:

i. with the UWB receiver, receive a first digital communication from the wireless data transceiver comprising a UWB transceiver, the first digital communication comprising an identifier and data, useful in determining a distance of the wireless data transceiver from the smart device supportable by the Agent;

ii. referencing the first digital communication, generate the distance between the wireless data transceiver and the smart device supportable by the Agent;

iii. with the transmitter, transmit a second digital communication to the wireless data transceiver, the second digital communication comprising data, useful to determine a direction of the wireless data transceiver in relation to the smart device supportable by the Agent;

iv. calculate timing of at least one of the first digital communication and the second digital communication;

v. based upon the second digital communication, generate the direction of the wireless data transceiver in relation to the smart device supportable by the Agent;

vi. generate a direction of the wireless data transceiver comprising the UWB transceiver in relation to the Agent supportable device;

vii. display a user interface on the user interface surface, the user interface comprising an indication of the direction of the wireless data transceiver in relation to the Agent supportable device, the direction of the wireless data transceiver comprising a direction of interest; and

viii. display on the user interface the distance between the Agent supportable device and the wireless data transceiver.

2. The Agent supportable device of claim 1 additionally comprising a location sensor comprising a circuitry capable of detecting GPS signals and the processor is additionally operative via execution of the software program to cause the Agent supportable device to generate a location of the Agent supportable device.

3. The Agent supportable device of claim 1 additionally comprising a network interface enabling the Agent supportable device to communicate via a wireless data communication standard.

4. The Agent supportable device of claim 1 , additionally comprising a magnetic force sensor comprising a Hall Effect Sensor.

5. The Agent supportable device of claim 1 , additionally comprising a motion sensor comprising an accelerometer and the processor is additionally operative via execution of the software program to cause the Agent supportable device to sense one or more of: physical acceleration, orientation, and vibration.

6. The Agent supportable device of claim 1 wherein the processor is additionally operative via execution of the software program to generate vector indicating the direction of interest.

7. The Agent supportable device of claim 6 wherein the vector is at an angle that is Perpendicular to a plane of user interface surface.

8. The Agent supportable device of claim 1 wherein the distance between the wireless data transceiver and the smart device supportable by the Agent is generated based upon a round trip time comprising one of a first communication and a second communication.

9. The Agent supportable device of claim 1 wherein the distance between the wireless data transceiver and the smart device supportable by the Agent is generated based upon a time of flight comprising one of a first communication and a second communication.

10. The Agent supportable device of claim 1 wherein the direction of the wireless data transceiver and the smart device supportable by the Agent is generated based upon at least one of: an angle of arrival and an angle of departure of a wireless transmission.

11. The Agent supportable device of claim 1 additionally comprising a light source emitting energy and the processor is additionally operative via execution of the software program to cause the Agent supportable device to receive reflected energy emitted from the light source as received image data.

12. The Agent supportable device of claim 2 wherein the Agent comprises a person or automation capable of supporting a Smart Device at a geospatial location relative to a Ground Plane.

13. The Agent supportable device of claim 12 wherein the processor is additionally operative via execution of the software program to cause the location sensor to receive global positioning signals (GPS) and then reference the GPS to generate the location of the Agent supportable device.

14. The Agent supportable device of claim 13 wherein the processor is additionally operative via execution of the software program to reference the GPS and indicate in the user interface at least one of: an address, a unit number, and a lot number.

15. The Agent supportable device of claim 1 wherein the processor is additionally operative via execution of the software program to cause the Agent supportable device to generate an angle of transmission of the second digital communication.

16. The Agent supportable device of claim 1 wherein the processor is additionally operative via execution of the software program to cause the Agent supportable device to generate an angle of arrival of the first digital communication.

17. The Agent supportable device of claim 1 wherein the Agent supportable device additionally comprises an accelerometer and the processor is additionally operative via execution of the software program to cause the Agent supportable device to indicate in the user interface, movement of the Agent supportable device towards or away from the wireless data transceiver.

18. The Agent supportable device of claim 1 , wherein the processor is additionally operative via execution of the software program to cause the Agent supportable device to generate indicators of distance from the wireless data transceiver based upon a comparison of timing signals received from the wireless data transceiver.

19. The Agent supportable device of claim 1 , wherein the processor is additionally operative via execution of the software program to cause the Agent supportable device to generate potential locations of multiple wireless data transceivers.

20. The Agent supportable device of claim 1 , wherein the processor is additionally operative via execution of the software program to cause the Agent supportable device to generate a virtual tag in the use.
