Abstract

Disclosed are an organic light emitting display device and lighting apparatus for vehicles using the same. The organic light emitting display device includes a first layer including a first organic layer and a first emission layer on a first electrode, a second layer including a second emission layer and a second organic layer on the first layer, a second electrode on the second layer, and a third organic layer between the first layer and the second layer. A thickness of the first emission layer is equal to or greater than a thickness of each of the first organic layer and the second organic layer.

Claims (34)

1. An organic light emitting display device, comprising:

a first electrode on a substrate;

a first organic layer on the first electrode;

a first emission layer on the first organic layer;

a second emission layer on the first emission layer, the first emission layer and the second emission layer emitting light having a substantially same color;

a second organic layer on the second emission layer;

a third organic layer between the first emission layer and the second emission layer; and

a second electrode on the second organic layer,

wherein the first electrode is an anode that supplies a hole and the second electrode is a cathode that supplies an electron, and

wherein the second electrode is a transmissive electrode or a semi-transmissive electrode and light emitted from each of the first emission layer and the second emission layer is irradiated in a top direction through the second electrode.

2. The organic light emitting display device of claim 1 , wherein the second electrode is formed of a multilayer, wherein the multilayer includes at least one of gold (Au), silver (Ag), aluminum (Al), molybdenum (Mo), magnesium (Mg), lithium (Li), calcium (Ca), lithium fluoride (LiF), indium tin oxide (ITO), indium zinc oxide (IZO), and Ag—Mg.

3. The organic light emitting display device of claim 1 , further comprising:

a capping layer on the second electrode.

4. The organic light emitting display device of claim 3 , wherein the capping layer comprises N,N′-bis(naphthalene-1-yl)-N,N′ bis(phenyl)-2,2′-dimethylbenzidine (NPD).

5. The organic light emitting display device of claim 1 , wherein the substrate comprises a material having flexibility.

6. The organic light emitting display device of claim 1 , wherein the first electrode is includes a plurality of layers comprising at least one of indium tin oxide (ITO), indium zinc oxide (IZO), gold (Au), silver (Ag), aluminum (Al), molybdenum (Mo), magnesium (Mg), lithium (Li), calcium (Ca), lithium fluoride (LiF), or Ag—Mg.

7. The organic light emitting display device of claim 1 , wherein the first electrode has a three-layer structure including a first transparent layer, a reflective layer of the first transparent layer, and a second transparent layer on the reflective layer, wherein each of the first transparent layer and the second transparent layer comprises a transparent conductive oxide, and wherein the reflective layer comprises copper (Cu), silver (Ag), or palladium (Pd).

8. The organic light emitting display device of claim 1 , wherein the first electrode includes a reflective layer and light emitted from each of the first emission layer and the second emission layer is not irradiated in a down direction through the first electrode.

9. The organic light emitting display device of claim 1 , wherein the first organic layer comprises a hole transfer layer and the hole transfer layer includes one or among a hole injection layer or a hole transport layer.

10. The organic light emitting display device of claim 1 , wherein the second organic layer comprises an electron transfer layer and the electron transfer layer includes one or among an electron injection layer or an electron transport layer.

11. The organic light emitting display device of claim 1 , wherein the third organic layer comprises one or more among a hole transfer layer, an electron transfer layer, a N-type charge generation layer, or a P-type charge generation layer.

12. The organic light emitting display device of claim 1 , wherein each of the first emission layer and the second emission layer comprises a red emission layer, a green emission layer, or a blue emission layer.

13. The organic light emitting display device of claim 1 , wherein at least one among the first emission layer and the second emission layer comprises two or more kinds of hosts and at least one dopant of a fluorescent dopant or a phosphorescent dopant.

14. The organic light emitting display device of claim 1 , wherein a thickness of the first emission layer is equal to or greater than a thickness of the first organic layer.

15. The organic light emitting display device of claim 1 , wherein a thickness of the first emission layer is equal to or greater than a thickness of the second organic layer.

16. The organic light emitting display device of claim 1 , wherein a thickness of first emission layer is equal to or greater than a thickness of the second emission layer.

17. The organic light emitting display device of claim 1 , wherein a thickness of the second emission layer is equal to or greater than a thickness of the first organic layer.

18. The organic light emitting display device of claim 1 , wherein a thickness of the second emission layer is equal to or greater than a thickness of the second organic layer.

19. The organic light emitting display device of claim 1 , wherein a sum of a thickness of the first emission layer and the second emission layer is equal to or greater than a thickness of third organic layer.

20. The organic light emitting display device of claim 1 , wherein a thickness of the third organic layer is equal to or greater than a thickness of the first emission layer.

21. The organic light emitting display device of claim 1 , wherein a thickness of the third organic layer is equal to or greater than a thickness of the second emission layer.

22. The organic light emitting display device of claim 1 , wherein a thickness of the third organic layer is equal to or greater than a thickness of the first organic layer.
