Abstract

A display device includes a first base substrate including a light-emitting area and a non-light-emitting area around the light-emitting area, a wavelength conversion pattern on the first base substrate in the light-emitting area, and a light-emitting element layer on the wavelength conversion pattern. The light-emitting element layer includes a pixel electrode including a first conductive pattern between the wavelength conversion pattern and the first base substrate, and a second conductive pattern on the wavelength conversion pattern and spaced apart from the first conductive pattern, an organic light-emitting layer on the second conductive pattern, and a common electrode on the organic light-emitting layer.

Claims (46)

1 . A display device comprising:

a first base substrate;

a wavelength conversion pattern disposed on the first base substrate;

a first electrode and a second electrode disposed on the wavelength conversion pattern and spaced apart from each other; and

a light emitting element disposed between the first electrode and the second electrode in a plan view, the light emitting element overlapping the wavelength conversion pattern in a thickness direction of the display device, wherein

the wavelength conversion pattern being disposed between the first base substrate and each of the light emitting element, the first electrode and the second electrode in the thickness direction of the display device.

2 . The display device of claim 1 , further comprising:

a first contact electrode disposed on the first electrode and overlapping the first electrode in the thickness direction; and

a second contact electrode disposed on the second electrode and overlapping the second electrode in the thickness direction,

wherein the first contact electrode contacts with a first end portion of the light-emitting element, and the second contact electrode contacts with a second end portion of the light-emitting element.

3 . The display device of claim 2 , further comprising:

a first insulation layer disposed on the first electrode and the second electrode and overlapping the first electrode and the second electrode in the thickness direction,

wherein the light emitting element is disposed on the first insulation layer.

4 . The display device of claim 3 , further comprising:

a second insulation layer disposed on the light emitting element and overlapping the light emitting element in the thickness direction,

wherein the first contact electrode and the second contact electrode are disposed on the second insulation layer and overlap the second insulating layer in the thickness direction.

5 . The display device of claim 1 , further comprising:

a first bank disposed between the first electrode and the first base substrate in the thickness direction; and

a second bank disposed between the second electrode and the first base substrate in the thickness direction,

wherein the light emitting element is disposed between the first bank and the second bank in the thickness direction.

6 . The display device of claim 5 , wherein the first bank and the second bank overlap the wavelength conversion pattern in the thickness direction.

7 . The display device of claim 1 , further comprising:

a reflective electrode disposed on the first electrode, the second electrode, and the light emitting element.

8 . The display device of claim 1 , further comprising:

a via layer disposed between the wavelength conversion pattern and the first electrode and between the wavelength conversion pattern and the second electrode; and

a transistor disposed between the via layer and the first base substrate, wherein

the via layer comprises a first contact hole, and

the first electrode is electrically connected to the transistor through the first contact hole.

9 . The display device of claim 8 , further comprising:

an interlayer insulating film disposed between the wavelength conversion pattern and the first base substrate,

wherein the via layer contacts with the interlayer insulating film.

10 . The display device of claim 1 , wherein

the light emitting element extends in one direction and comprises a first semiconductor layer, a second semiconductor layer, and an active layer, and

a length of the first semiconductor layer is greater than a length of the second semiconductor layer.

11 . The display device of claim 1 , wherein

the first electrode comprises a first electrode stem part extending in a first direction and a first electrode branch part extending in a second direction intersecting the first direction, and

the first electrode branch part overlaps the wavelength conversion pattern, wherein

each of the first direction and the second direction being orthogonal to the thickness direction.

12 . The display device of claim 11 , wherein

the second electrode comprises a second electrode stem part extending in the first direction and a second electrode branch part extending in the second direction, and

the second electrode branch part face the first electrode branch part.

13 . The display device of claim 11 , wherein the light emitting element is disposed between the first electrode branch part and the second electrode branch part.

14 . The display device of claim 8 , wherein

the first electrode comprises a first electrode stem part extending in a first direction and a first electrode branch part extending in a second direction intersecting the first direction, and

the first contact hole overlaps the first electrode stem part.

15 . The display device of claim 1 , wherein the display device is a bottom emission display device where an image produced by the light emitting element is viewed from a side of the display device corresponding to the first base substrate by passing through the first base substrate.
