Abstract

A transport unit for a distributed charging system comprising a charging station transportable by the transport unit, wherein the transport unit comprises a lifting mechanism adapted to lift a fluid exchanger onto a base frame (of the charging system installed on a ground floor.

Claims (18)

1 . A fluid exchanger comprising:

a fluid pump integrated in a housing of the fluid exchanger; and

a controller configured to control the fluid pump to change a fluid rate of fluid exchanged between at least one fluid tank of a transport unit and at least one fluid tank connected to a base frame of a distributed charging system,

wherein the fluid pump is configured and adapted to be connected via one or more tubes to the at least one fluid tank of the transport unit, and

wherein the fluid pump is configured and adapted to pump, in response to a control signal received from the controller, fluid from the at least one fluid tank of the transport unit into one of the at least one fluid tank connected to the base frame and to pump fluid from the at least one fluid tank connected to the base frame into one of the at least one fluid tank of the transport unit.

2 . The fluid exchanger according to claim 1 comprising a lifting interface unit adapted to clamp the housing of the fluid exchanger to a lifting mechanism of the transport unit and/or a locking interface unit adapted to lock the housing of the fluid exchanger onto the base frame.

3 . The fluid exchanger according to claim 1 wherein the controller of the fluid exchanger is adapted to communicate with a remote-control unit handheld by a user or integrated in the transport unit and/or with a local control unit of a local power supply grid.

4 . The fluid exchanger according to claim 1 wherein the housing of the fluid exchanger comprises a lifting interface unit adapted to be connectable to the lifting mechanism of the transport unit.

5 . The fluid exchanger according to claim 1 wherein the controller of the fluid exchanger is configured and adapted to communicate with a control unit of the base frame to control pumps provided at the fluid tank connected to the base frame.

6 . The fluid exchanger according to claim 1 wherein the controller of the fluid exchanger is adapted to receive filling levels, measured by sensors, of either or both of the at least one fluid tank of the transport unit and of the at least one fluid tank connected to the base frame, and/or fluid temperatures, measured by sensors, of the fluid contained in either or both the at least one fluid tank of the transport unit and of the at least one fluid tank connected to the base frame.

7 . The fluid exchanger according to claim 6 wherein a fluid pump rate of the fluid pump of the fluid exchanger is controlled by the controller of the fluid exchanger depending on the measured filling levels of the at least one fluid tank of the transport unit and the measured filling levels of the at least one fluid tank at connected to the base frame, and/or depending on the measured fluid temperatures of the fluid contained in the at least one fluid tank of the transport unit and the measured fluid temperature of the fluid contained in the at least one fluid tank connected to the base frame.

8 . A fluid exchanger comprising:

a fluid pump integrated in a housing of the fluid exchanger;

a controller configured to control the fluid pump to change a fluid rate of fluid exchanged between at least one fluid tank of a transport unit and at least one fluid tank connected to a base frame of a distributed charging system; and

a lifting interface unit configured to connect the housing of the fluid exchange to a lifting mechanism of the transport unit to lift the fluid exchanger onto the base frame,

wherein the fluid pump is configured and adapted to be connected via one or more tubes to the at least one fluid tank of the transport unit,

wherein the housing of the fluid exchanger further includes fluid ports, in fluid communication with the fluid pump, configured and adapted to provide a connection with fluid ports of the base frame when the fluid exchanger is lifted by the lifting mechanism of the transport unit onto the base frame, and

wherein the fluid pump is configured and adapted to pump, in response to a control signal received from the controller, fluid from the at least one fluid tank of the transport unit into one of the at least one fluid tank connected to the base frame and to pump fluid from the at least one fluid tank connected to the base frame into one of the at least one fluid tank of the transport unit.
