Abstract

Implementations of various methods and systems to transform navigation routes with two waypoints or a destination waypoint or a series sequence of waypoints into objects which have associated price-time priority queues for transformed transportation units. The present disclosed invention relates to combining the concepts of objected oriented programming, market price queues, navigation systems and social networking and transportation as a fungible asset class or transportation as an open market.

Claims (59)

1 . A method, comprising:

detecting, at one or more user interfaces of one or more computing devices associated with a respective user of a plurality of users, one or more network logins of the respective user, wherein the one or more user interfaces comprise one or more graphical user interfaces configured to display one or more graphical layers;

transmitting, by the one or more computing devices, transportation data to one or more servers over one or more wireless or wired communication networks based on the one or more detected network logins, wherein;

the transportation data comprises data corresponding to a geographic origin, a geographic destination, and a transportation capacity of a transportation vehicle traveling between the geographic origin and the geographic destination; and

the geographic origin comprises a geographic location of the respective user determined using one or more satellite navigation systems;

receiving, at the one or more computing devices, market depth data from the one or more servers over the one or more wireless or wired communication networks based on the transmitted transportation data, wherein the market depth data corresponds to one or more transportation capacity units generated by the one or more servers for at least a subset of the plurality of users, wherein:

the one or more transportation capacity units are configured to be traded using a transportation forward market platform provided by the one or more servers;

the transportation vehicle is configured to travel along one or more virtual hub routes determined by the one or more servers based on the geographic origin and the geographic destination; and

the market depth data corresponds to one or more route groups determined by the one or more servers based on the one or more virtual hub routes; and

generating, at the one or more user interfaces of the one or more computing devices, the one or more graphical layers based on the market depth data, wherein the one or more graphical layers are configured to be superimposed onto one or more navigational map interfaces being displayed by the one or more user interfaces, and wherein the one or more navigational map interfaces include one or more visualizations of the one or more virtual hub routes.

2 . The method of claim 1 , further comprising:

continuously tracking, by the one or more computing devices, the geographic origin in real-time by receiving geographic coordinates from the one or more satellite navigation systems; and

transmitting, by the one or more computing devices, the geographic coordinates as real-time updates to the one or more servers over the one or more wireless or wired communication networks; and wherein:

the one or more graphical layers displayed by the one or more user interfaces are dynamically updated based on detected real-time changes in the geographic coordinates.

3 . The method of claim 1 , wherein;

the one or more virtual hub routes correspond to a plurality of virtual hubs determined by the one or more servers based on at least the transportation data;

the plurality of virtual hubs comprise one or more origin virtual hubs corresponding to at least the geographic origin and one or more destination virtual hubs corresponding to at least the geographic destination; and

a respective virtual hub route corresponds to a geographic route between a respective origin virtual hub and a respective destination virtual hub.

4 . The method of claim 3 , wherein the respective virtual hub route comprises one or more additional locations along the geographic route, wherein the one or more additional locations correspond to one or more additional virtual hubs of the plurality of virtual hubs.

5 . The method of claim 1 , wherein a respective route group corresponds to a respective virtual hub route.

6 . The method of claim 1 , wherein a respective route group is assigned to the respective user based on input data from the respective user, travel history data for the respective user, or combinations thereof.

The method of claim 1 , wherein the transportation data further comprises constraint data, wherein the constraint data indicates a selection by the respective user of one or more conditions for traveling between the geographic origin and the geographic destination, and wherein the one or more conditions comprise cheapest route, single mode of transportation, multiple modes of transportation, fastest route, most scenic route, highest rated route, most available route, highest volume of participants for route, most frequent route, service level for route, highest safety and security level for route, gender of driver, security of driver, rating of driver, vehicle make, vehicle model type, vehicle model year, vehicle model fuel type, driver record, emissions reduction, or combinations thereof.

8 . A method, comprising:

detecting, at one or more user interfaces of one or more computing devices associated with a respective user of a plurality of users, one or more network logins of the respective user, wherein the one or more user interfaces comprise one or more graphical user interfaces configured to display one or more graphical layers;

transmitting, by the one or more computing devices, transportation data to one or more servers over one or more wireless or wired communication networks based on the one or more detected network logins, wherein:

the transportation data comprises data corresponding to a geographic origin, a geographic destination, and a freight capacity of a transportation vehicle traveling between the geographic origin and the geographic destination; and

the geographic origin comprises a geographic location of the respective user determined using one or more satellite navigation systems;

receiving, at the one or more computing devices, market depth data from the one or more servers over the one or more wireless or wired communication networks based on the transmitted transportation data, wherein the market depth data corresponds to one or more freight capacity units generated by the one or more servers for at least a subset of the plurality of users, wherein:

the one or more freight capacity units are configured to be traded using a transportation forward market platform provided by the one or more servers;

the transportation vehicle is configured to travel along one or more virtual hub routes determined by the one or more servers based on the geographic origin and the geographic destination; and

the market depth data corresponds to one or more route groups determined by the one or more servers based on the one or more virtual hub routes; and

generating, at the one or more user interfaces of the one or more computing devices, the one or more graphical layers based on the market depth data, wherein the one or more graphical layers are configured to be superimposed onto one or more navigational map interfaces being displayed by the one or more user interfaces, and wherein the one or more navigational map interfaces include one or more visualizations of the one or more virtual hub routes.

The method of claim 8 , wherein the one or more virtual hub routes correspond to a plurality of virtual hubs determined by the one or more servers based on at least the transportation data, and wherein the plurality of virtual hubs comprise one or more origin virtual hubs corresponding to at least the geographic origin and one or more destination virtual hubs corresponding to at least the geographic destination.

10 . The method of claim 9 , wherein a respective virtual hub route corresponds to a geographic route between a respective origin virtual hub and a respective destination virtual hub.

11 . The method of claim 10 , wherein the respective virtual hub route comprises one or more additional locations along the geographic route, wherein the one or more additional locations correspond to one or more additional virtual hubs of the plurality of virtual hubs.

12 . The method of claim 8 , further comprising:

tracking, by the one or more computing devices, the geographic origin in real-time by receiving geographic coordinates from the one or more satellite navigation systems; and

transmitting, by the one or more computing devices, the geographic coordinates to the one or more servers over the one or more wireless or wired communication networks, wherein a respective route group corresponds to a respective virtual hub route.

13 . The method of claim 8 , further comprising:

transmitting authentication data based on one or more biometric authentications to the one or more servers over the one or more wireless or wired communication networks to validate one or more transactions involving the one or more freight capacity units, wherein a respective route group is assigned to the respective user based on input data from the respective user, travel history data for the respective user, or combinations thereof.

The method of claim 8 , wherein the transportation data further comprises constraint data, wherein the constraint data indicates a selection by the respective user of one or more conditions for traveling between the geographic origin and the geographic destination, and wherein the one or more conditions comprise cheapest route, single mode of transportation, multiple modes of transportation, fastest route, most scenic route, highest rated route, most available route, highest volume of participants for route, most frequent route, service level for route, highest safety and security level for route, gender of driver, security of driver, rating of driver, vehicle make, vehicle model type, vehicle model year, vehicle model fuel type, driver record, emissions reduction, or combinations thereof.

15 . A system, comprising:

one or more computing devices associated with a respective user of a plurality of users, wherein the one or more computing devices comprise:

one or more processors; and

at least one memory comprising program instructions executable by the one or more processors to:

detect, at one or more user interfaces of the one or more computing devices, one or more network logins of the respective user, wherein the one or more user interfaces comprise one or more graphical user interfaces configured to display one or more graphical layers;

transmit transportation data to one or more servers over one or more wireless or wired communication networks based on the one or more detected network logins, wherein;

the transportation data comprises data corresponding to a geographic origin, a geographic destination, and a transportation capacity of a transportation vehicle traveling between the geographic origin and the geographic destination; and

the geographic origin comprises a geographic location of the respective user determined using one or more satellite navigation systems;

receive market depth data from the one or more servers over the one or more wireless or wired communication networks based on the transportation data, wherein the market depth data corresponds to one or more transportation capacity units generated by the one or more servers for at least a subset of the plurality of users, wherein:

the one or more transportation capacity units are configured to be traded using a transportation forward market platform provided by the one or more servers;

the transportation vehicle is configured to travel along one or more virtual hub routes determined by the one or more servers based on the geographic origin and the geographic destination; and

the market depth data corresponds to one or more route groups determined by the one or more servers based on the one or more virtual hub routes; and

generate, at the one or more user interfaces of the one or more computing devices, the one or more graphical layers based on the market depth data, wherein the one or more graphical layers are configured to be superimposed onto one or more navigational map interfaces being displayed by the one or more user interfaces, and wherein the one or more navigational map interfaces include one or more visualizations of the one or more virtual hub routes.

The system of claim 15 , wherein the one or more virtual hub routes correspond to a plurality of virtual hubs determined by the one or more servers based on at least the transportation data, and wherein the plurality of virtual hubs comprise one or more origin virtual hubs corresponding to at least the geographic origin and one or more destination virtual hubs corresponding to at least the geographic destination.

17 . The system of claim 15 , wherein a respective route group corresponds to a respective virtual hub route.

The system of claim 15 , wherein the transportation data further comprises constraint data, wherein the constraint data indicates a selection by the respective user of one or more conditions for traveling between the geographic origin and the geographic destination, and wherein the one or more conditions comprise cheapest route, single mode of transportation, multiple modes of transportation, fastest route, most scenic route, highest rated route, most available route, highest volume of participants for route, most frequent route, service level for route, highest safety and security level for route, gender of driver, security of driver, rating of driver, vehicle make, vehicle model type, vehicle model year, vehicle model fuel type, driver record, emissions reduction, or combinations thereof.

The method of claim 1 , further comprising transmitting authentication data based on one or more biometric authentications to the one or more servers over the one or more wireless or wired communication networks to validate one or more transactions involving the one or more transportation capacity units, wherein the one or more biometric authentications comprise at least one of facial recognition, fingerprint recognition, or photo-scan security associated with the respective user.

The method of claim 1 , wherein: the market depth data comprises data indicating one or more bid prices for the one or more transportation capacity units, one or more offer prices for the one or more transportation capacity units, or combinations thereof; and a respective transportation capacity unit represents a fungible forward contract corresponding to the transportation capacity of the transportation vehicle, wherein the fungible forward contract represented by the respective transportation capacity unit comprises: one or more conditional attributes to provide substitutability with another transportation capacity unit of the one or more transportation capacity units; a plurality of contract specifications, wherein the plurality of contract specifications comprises one or more cost of cover specifications, one or more liquidated damages specifications, one or more force majeure specifications, or combinations thereof; or combinations thereof.
