Abstract

Semisolid supplement compositions are disclosed comprising at least one non-ester nitrate compound and at least one isolated amino acid compound. The at least one isolated amino acid compound is a separate compound than the at least one non-ester nitrate compound. The composition contains at least about 0.05625 mg nitrate ion (NO 3 − ).

Claims (34)

1 . A semisolid supplement composition comprising:

at least one non-ester nitrate compound; and

at least one isolated amino acid compound selected from Creatine and Citrulline;

wherein the at least one isolated amino acid compound is a separate compound than the at least one non-ester nitrate compound; and

wherein the semisolid supplement composition comprises an amount of nitrate ion (NO 3 − ) that is at least about 0.05625 mg.

2 . The composition of claim 1 , wherein the at least one isolated amino acid compound is Creatine and the amount of nitrate ion (NO 3 − ) is least about 0.33125 mg.

3 . The composition of claim 1 , wherein the at least one isolated amino acid compound is Citrulline and the amount of nitrate ion (NO 3 − ) is least about 0.33125 mg.

4 . The composition of claim 1 , wherein the at least one isolated amino acid compound is Creatine and the amount of nitrate ion (NO 3 − ) is least about 1 mg.

5 . The composition of claim 1 , wherein the at least one isolated amino acid compound is Citrulline and the amount of nitrate ion (NO 3 − ) is least about 1 mg.

6 . The composition of claim 1 , wherein the at least one isolated amino acid compound is Creatine and the amount of nitrate ion (NO 3 − ) is least about 5 mg.

7 . The composition of claim 1 , wherein the at least one isolated amino acid compound is Citrulline and the amount of nitrate ion (NO 3 − ) is least about 5 mg.

8 . The composition of claim 1 , wherein the at least one isolated amino acid compound is Creatine and the amount of nitrate ion (NO 3 − ) is least about 10 mg.

9 . The composition of claim 1 , wherein the at least one isolated amino acid compound is Citrulline and the amount of nitrate ion (NO 3 − ) is least about 10 mg.

10 . The composition of claim 1 , wherein the at least one isolated amino acid compound is Creatine and the amount of nitrate ion (NO 3 − ) is least about 20 mg.

11 . The composition of claim 1 , wherein the at least one isolated amino acid compound is Citrulline and the amount of nitrate ion (NO 3 − ) is least about 20 mg.

12 . The composition of claim 1 , wherein the at least one isolated amino acid compound is Creatine and the amount of nitrate ion (NO 3 − ) is about 0.33125 mg to no more than about 31.6 mg of nitrate ion (NO 3 − ).

13 . The composition of claim 1 , wherein the at least one isolated amino acid compound is Citrulline and the amount of nitrate ion (NO 3 − ) is about 0.33125 mg to no more than about 31.6 mg of nitrate ion (NO 3 − ).
